Just when we thought JetBlue couldn’t get any bluer.

Completely out of the blue, the New York-based carrier has revealed the first in a line of gorgeous new liveries adorned by one of its Airbus A321 aircraft.

“Liveries have always been a part of our identity. When you spot a JetBlue aircraft—whether on the ground or in the air — we want customers to recognize us as a travel brand that moves them differently than everyone else,” explains Jayne O’Brien, Head of Marketing and Loyalty at JetBlue.

Here’s what you need to know about JetBlue’s newest livery.

JetBlue’s Bold New Livery

JetBlue continues to be the airline that bucks the trend.

The latest in the airline’s innovative updates comes by way of a stunning new “Icon In The Sky” livery with boldly colored mint leaves wrapped around the tailfin and the back end of the fuselage.

This particular pattern signifies to passengers, airport employees, and spotters that the aircraft features JetBlue’s Mint business class product.

The refreshed livery includes additional new design elements such as:

  • An even bluer fuselage than ever before
  • A larger JetBlue logo
  • A fresh winglet design with new colors
  • The mint leaf pattern and the JetBlue logo feature on the underside of the aircraft

The first aircraft to receive the livery was the 5-year-old, N982JB-registered Airbus A321 that has been out of service for just over 2 weeks while it received its paint job.

Passengers will get to fly the jet — aptly nicknamed “A Defining MoMint” — when it returns to service on June 15, 2023.

Before heading to Macon, Georgia, for its paint job, the aircraft mostly operated transcontinental services, so be sure to keep an eye out the next time you’re at the airport.

The rest of JetBlue’s aircraft that feature its Mint cabin will also be treated to a similar livery refresh in the not-too-distant future.

The airline is also planning new liveries for the rest of its aircraft that do not feature a Mint cabin.

Final Thoughts

It’s the dawn of a new day for JetBlue aircraft and their liveries.

There’ll certainly be no mistaking this jet for any other airline, that’s for sure.

We can’t wait to see what other designs JetBlue has in store!
