It’s exceedingly rare to see a credit card gain perks, remove nothing, and keep the annual fee the same. However, Barclays and JetBlue have done that with the JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard®, and the new perks go live today, May 5!

The annual fee for JetBlue’s premium credit card isn’t increasing, but it’s adding new statement credits for companion travel, TrueBlue Travel credits, bonus Tiles towards status, a points redemption bonus, and ClassPass credits.

“As we continue to engage with our cardmembers, JetBlue is focused on evolving our co-branded credit card benefits in ways that are both meaningful and relevant to how they travel and spend their time,” said Ed Pouthier, vice president of loyalty and personalization at JetBlue. “These … enhancements, from companion passes to new lifestyle partnerships to more generous travel rewards, build on our commitment to listen to customers and give them even more value with their card during travel and in everyday life.”

Here’s what’s new on the JetBlue Premier card.

Updates to the JetBlue Premier Card From Barclays

Following the announcement from last month, today, May 5, JetBlue‘s premium JetBlue Premier card is gaining 5 benefits without increasing its $499 annual fee.

New perks include:

  • 25-Tile bonus: Cardholders receive 25 Tiles toward Mosaic elite status every calendar year. This is half of the 50 Tiles required annually for Mosaic 1 status.
  • JetBlue Premier Companion Pass statement credits: Cardholders can earn a companion pass (worth up to $500) after spending $15,000 on purchases with their card in a calendar year, then unlock another companion pass (worth up to $1,500) after $75,000 in purchases in a calendar year. To use the pass, book a trip, apply the companion pass, pay with your card, and receive a statement credit after the trip.
  • TrueBlue Travel statement credit: Earn up to $300 in annual statement credits when using your card for hotels, car rentals, cruises, or other reservations at TrueBlue Travel.
  • 15% redemption rebate: Cardholders receive a 15% points rebate after using points for award flight reservations, whether that booking is a JetBlue or partner flight.
  • 14 monthly ClassPass credits for fitness and wellness activities.

Earning Mosaic status requires Tiles — the only metric that matters. Mosaic 1 requires just 50 Tiles annually, so this new benefit gives you 50% of what you need. The companion passes add meaningful value when traveling with a friend or family member. JetBlue joins a long list of airlines offering companion fares and companion passes.

Receiving $300 in statement credits for travel bookings is a great perk, and this offsets more than half of the card’s $499 annual fee. This should be easy for most people to use.

The points rebate is the most interesting element. There’s no cap listed, suggesting you could theoretically redeem JetBlue points over and over again with a 15% rebate, no matter what type of flights you’re booking, and get points back to use toward future travel.

Final Thoughts

The JetBlue Premier card only launched in January 2025. Just over a year on, and it’s already getting better without even raising the annual fee.

Cardholders already have lounge access and other premium benefits. Now, cardholders can earn companion passes, get 25 Tiles automatically, get up to $300 in travel credits annually, and get 15% of their points back on redemptions, and keep fit and active with monthly ClassPass credits.
