Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

A pair of IHG credit cards is currently offering exceptional welcome offers, providing up to 50% more bonus points than usual.

Right now, you can earn up to 120,000 points with the IHG One Rewards Traveler Credit Card and 175,000 points with the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card. These are very appealing bonus offers, but they’re ending on March 19, 2026, at 9 a.m. ET, so there’s not much time left to score them.

Let’s take a closer look at these hotel credit cards, their welcome offers, and whether it’s worth adding one of them to your wallet.

Limited-Time Welcome Offers: Earn up to 175K Points

Right now, eligible new applicants for the IHG Traveler card can earn up to 120,000 bonus IHG One Rewards points through a 2-step welcome bonus offer:

  • Earn 90,000 bonus points after spending $2,000 on purchases in the first 3 months.
  • Earn up to 30,000 additional points by earning an additional 3x points on purchases in the first 6 months of account opening on up to $10,000 spent (except at IHG Hotels & Resorts).

We value IHG One Rewards points at 0.5 cents apiece, meaning 120,000 bonus points are worth $400. The typical welcome offer available to new applicants for this card is 80,000 bonus points, so you could earn up to 50% more points right now.

On the other hand, the IHG Premier card currently features an elevated 175,000-point welcome offer bonus after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months. According to our valuations, this welcome bonus offer is worth $700 toward hotel stays across IHG’s numerous hotel brands.

The standard welcome offer on the IHG Premier card is 140,000 points, so this opportunity also represents a significant boost.

IHG Traveler Card vs. IHG Premier Card

To help you decide if either the IHG Traveler card or the IHG Premier card is a good fit for your wallet, we’ll run through the highlights of each in 1 place.

IHG Traveler Card

The $0-annual-fee IHG Traveler card offers a solid earning structure for IHG loyalists. The card earns up to 17x points on IHG purchases, 3x points on monthly bills, gas stations, and restaurants, and 2x points on all other eligible purchases.

Remember, though, that eligible new account holders would earn 3x additional bonus points on non-IHG purchases for the first 6 months, meaning the rates listed above would become 6x points on monthly bills, gas stations, and restaurants. It’d be 5x points on all other eligible purchases (up to the $10,000 maximum).

In addition to the strong earning structure, the card offers a few great perks, including automatic IHG One Rewards Silver Elite status, a 20% bonus on points earned during IHG stays, and the fourth-award-night-free perk, which allows those with status to redeem points for 3 consecutive nights and get a fourth night at no extra cost.

Cardholders can also spend their way to Gold Elite status — valid through December 31 of the following year — by putting $20,000 in purchases on the card in a calendar year. Gold Elite members also earn a 40% points bonus on paid stays at IHG properties.

IHG Premier Card

The IHG Premier card comes with a $99 annual fee, but it offers a very robust earning structure and suite of benefits to cardholders, making it fantastic for anyone who stays at an IHG property frequently.

It earns up to 26x points per $1 spent on IHG stays, 5x points on travel, gas stations, and restaurants, and 3x points on all other purchases.

It offers pretty great perks for IHG loyalists, as well, including automatic Platinum Elite status, which grants perks like room upgrades, a special welcome amenity, access to the fourth-night-free perk, a $100 statement credit after spending $20,000 in a calendar year, and more.

Perhaps the most exciting perk of the card, however, is the anniversary free-night award, which you receive each year after paying the card’s annual fee. It’s valued at up to 40,000 IHG One Rewards points, but you can top it off with additional points from your account if you want to use it at a hotel that costs more than that.

Final Thoughts

Right now, both the IHG Traveler card and the IHG Premier card have elevated welcome offers, up to 120,000 points and 175,000 points, respectively. However, they’re coming to an end on March 19 at 9 a.m. ET, so you’ll want to apply before both opportunities disappear.
