Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy is the hotel giant’s answer to Airbnb, offering the ability to book entire apartments, condos, homes, villas, and more. In short, they’re ideal for anyone traveling with a group, traveling for an extended period of time, or anyone who just wants a little more space.

With thousands of properties available for booking, it’s also possible to both earn and redeem your Marriott Bonvoy points for a stay.

And now, a new Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy promotion is offering Marriott Bonvoy co-branded cardholders a 10% discount on the nightly rate when they book by December 14, 2024, and stay at least 2 nights.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Save 10% on Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy

Whether you’re considering a hot or cold destination, booking with Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy during this promotion could Marriott cardholders some cash.

When booking a home rental for 2 nights or more at the same property by December 14, 2024, Marriott Bonvoy members can save 10% on the nightly rate when they stay at least 2 nights. According to the promotion’s terms and conditions, there isn’t a specified travel window. Instead, it says: “The stay does not need to occur or be completed during the offer period.”

Luckily, there are no geographic restrictions when it comes to the stay itself, but it’s only valid for those who have cards issued in the following countries: Canada, China, India, Japan, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, United Kingdom, United States, United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.

Here’s a look at the terms of the offer:

  • Registration is not required.
  • The stay must be booked on the Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy website by December 14, 2024.
  • Must stay a minimum of 2 consecutive nights.
  • Available on paid nights only; award nights are ineligible for this promotion.
  • There’s a maximum total discount of $500 per stay (or the equivalent amount in a foreign currency)
  • The Marriott Bonvoy co-branded credit card does not need to be used to pay for the stay.
  • Must be logged into your Marriott Bonvoy account, and the 10% discount will automatically be applied to the nightly rate during the checkout process.
  • Can be combined with other offers.
  • If you’re opening a new Marriott co-branded card account, allow for 10 days for the system to recognize you as a cardholder.
Hot Tip:

If you do take advantage of this offer, you’ll definitely want to book with your Marriott Bonvoy co-branded credit card to earn up to 17x points per dollar spent at Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy.

Is It Worth It?

The Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy portfolio includes a wide variety of properties. They’re typically not cheap, so if you’re looking for budget-friendly pricing, this promotion likely isn’t for you, even with a 10% discount.

These properties are like true homes or private apartments, far different from a normal full-service hotel room. They’re great for families, ski trips, corporate retreats, or anyone else who needs a large space for a getaway.

With the maximum savings for this 10% discount promo being $500 on a stay, that means you’d have to spend $5,000 — at least — to achieve that number. Considering, too, that taxes, fees, and other incidental charges are not included, you might have to spend quite a bit more to get the maximum return from this promotion.

Final Thoughts

Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy is currently running a promotion offering Marriott cardholders 10% back on nightly rates for stays of at least 2 nights booked by December 14. If you’ve been eyeing a trip that would require accommodation such as this, you’ll definitely want to price it out to see if it makes sense for your needs. Otherwise, it’s likely not worth going out of your way to take advantage.
