Marriott has no shortage of luxury hotels in Dubai — and a brand-new Marriott Marquis Dubai hotel will open in March.

Let’s take a look at Marriott’s newest Dubai property!

New Marriott Hotel in Dubai

Located in the Jewel of the Creek complex, Marriott Marquis Dubai has a whopping 590 guest rooms. These include 434 guest rooms and suites and 156 serviced apartments.

Amenities include 6 food and drink options, conference and meeting facilities, a business center, a gym, a spa, and swimming pools.

The hotel is located 20 minutes by car or on the Dubai Metro from Dubai International Airport (DXB).

“Dubai remains one of the most desired destinations in the world and we continue to see strong demand to further diversify our portfolio in the city where we currently have more than 50 properties in operation,” said Jerome Briet, Chief Development Officer, Europe, Middle East and Africa at Marriott.

Bottom Line:

If you’re a Marriott Bonvoy loyalist, Dubai is among the best cities to earn and redeem points. Marriott has dozens of hotels in the city, with several high-end brands, such as EDITION, St. Regis, and more. No matter what option you choose, you’re sure to have a high-end experience!

How to Book the Marriott Marquis Dubai

Marriott says the Marriott Marquis Dubai opens for guests in March, though we don’t see any availability until late April.

Cash rates start at around $140 per night for dates this spring, a solid deal for often-pricey Dubai. Unfortunately, we don’t see any award nights available. That doesn’t necessarily mean the hotel won’t participate in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, but rather, award nights likely haven’t been loaded into the system.

Either way, earning Marriott Bonvoy points is essential if you’re a fan of the brand. And they are some of the easiest hotel points you can earn. American Express Membership Rewards and Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer partners to Marriott at a 1:1 ratio. (They sometimes offer limited-time transfer bonuses, giving you more points when transferring them to Marriott.)

Marriott also offers a handful of co-branded credit cards. These come with sizable welcome bonuses (when you complete minimum spending requirements)

Additionally, all come with some form of elite status, and 1 card — the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card — comes with automatic Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite status!

Final Thoughts

A new luxury Marriott hotel is coming to Dubai. The Marriott Marquis Dubai seems like a solid option for budget-friendly travelers looking for a more high-end experience. While we don’t see points availability yet, cash rates are incredibly cheap, making this hotel a must-visit if you’re in Dubai!
