Marriott is encouraging travelers to “swap their desks for daiquiris” by announcing a handful of new hotel openings around the world just in time for the summer.
Let’s take a look at some of Marriott’s newest properties.
Marriott Encourages Travelers To ‘Switch Into Vacation Mode’ With New Hotel Openings
Marriott Bonvoy has announced a dozen new hotel openings in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Europe, and Africa for travelers looking for upscale vacations, honeymoons, solo travel, and more.
Here are some of the new openings:
JW Marriott Hotel Guadalajara
This property is located in the heart of Guadalajara, Mexico, and features a pool with unobstructed views of the city. The hotel is located near offices, shopping, and entertainment options. Guests can choose from rooms or suites, and rates start at 21,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night or $176 per night for select dates in August.
W Dubai – Mina Seyahi
Located in the heart of Dubai and just 30 minutes from Dubai Airport (DXB), the W Dubai – Mina Seyahi features more than 300 rooms and suites spanning 31 floors, including a nearly 1,200-square-foot Marvelous Suite with sea views and a balcony.
Guests are treated to restaurants featuring French, Italian, and Japanese cuisine and several pools.
Rates start at 56,000 Marriott Bonvoy points or $260 per night for select dates in August.
The Westin Yokohama
Located in the southwest of Tokyo, this hotel features nearly 400 rooms and suites – some with views of Mount Fuji. Rates for August stays start at 32,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night, or $170.

Tips for Earning Marriott Bonvoy Points
If you don’t have Marriott Bonvoy points, don’t worry, because they’re some of the easiest to earn and redeem.
Aside from the traditional options like opening a co-branded credit card or transferring points from partners like American Express Membership Rewards or Chase Ultimate Rewards, you can also purchase points, link your rideshare services to your Bonvoy account or join Eat Around Town and link your Marriott Bonvoy-branded card to earn at participating restaurants.
