Marriott continues to expand its luxury portfolio in Asia with the opening of 3 beachside resort properties in Vietnam. Here’s what you need to know about the 2 Marriott-branded hotels and 1 Renaissance Hotel in the south and south-central regions of the country.

New Marriotts Now Open in Vietnam

On October 30, 2023, Marriott announced the opening of 3 new resort properties in Vietnam, just days after announcing 3 upcoming luxury properties for the country.

Nha Trang Marriott Resort & Spa, Hon Tre Island is a sprawling complex located beachfront just off the coast of Nha Trang, about 40 minutes from Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR). The property has 403 rooms and suites (along with 426 villas with 2, 3, or 4 bedrooms), 4 restaurants and bars, 7 pools, 2 tennis courts, a fitness center, a spa, and a kids club.

Danang Marriott Resort & Spa, Non Nuoc Beach Villas is located along Vietnam’s central coast, easily accessible via a 20-minute drive from Danang International Airport (DAD). This family-friendly property is Marriott’s first all-villa resort in Vietnam with each room offering private plunge pools and sun decks. There are 5 dining and social venues, 2 tennis courts, an outdoor pool, a fitness center, a spa, and a kids club.

Renaissance Hoi An Resort & Spa is Marriott’s first hotel in Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage town famous for its classic shophouses and cobbled streets. The 218-room beachfront property is located on one of the country’s best stretches of shoreline, Cua Dai Beach. Danang International Airport (DAD) is about 35 minutes away by car.

“We are excited to unveil these three exceptional resorts on the same day,” said Jakob Helgen, Area Vice President, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia & Myanmar, Marriott International. “It marks a milestone for the company’s expansion in Vietnam, providing domestic and international travelers unrivaled choices of high-quality service and immersive experiences across this captivating country.”

How To Book

All 3 properties are now open for guests and each participates in the Marriott Bonvoy programThat means you’ll be able to earn and redeem points during your stay.

Award nights for stays this February at the Renaissance Hoi An start at around a relatively affordable 30,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for a standard king room. Prices are slightly higher at the Danang Marriott Resort & Spa; rates start around 50,000 points per night this winter. At the time of publication, rates were not available for Nha Trang Marriott Resort & Spa.

If you need to top up your account balance, you’re in luck, as it’s relatively easy to earn Marriott Bonvoy points. There are several Marriott Bonvoy co-branded credit cards, all of which offer substantial welcome bonuses. You can then redeem Marriott Bonvoy points at hotels worldwide, including at these new 3 properties in Vietnam.

Hot Tip:

You can also transfer points to Marriott Bonvoy from Chase Ultimate Rewards and American Express Membership Rewards at a 1:1 ratio.

Final Thoughts

Marriott Bonvoy loyalists now have several more points hotels in Southeast Asia with the opening of these 3 brand-new Marriott properties in Vietnam, where the chain now has 19 hotels and resorts.

All 3 new hotels are large resort complexes, ideal for families eager to explore the stunning coastline of Vietnam.
