Update:

The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

Marriott Bonvoy and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer allow elite members of their respective loyalty programs to match their status to the other program, thanks to an expanded partnership. It takes mere minutes to complete the process, and your matched status is valid for 12 months.

Now, a new promotion offers bonus airline miles on hotel stays and bonus hotel points on flights.

Here’s what you need to know about the Preferred Program from Singapore Airlines and Marriott Bonvoy.

Bonus Points and Miles on Qualifying Travel

This limited-time offer requires registration, and you can use it to earn bonus KrisFlyer miles on stays with Marriott or bonus Marriott points on flights with Singapore Airlines. You need to register by October 4, 2024.

You’ll earn 500 bonus KrisFlyer miles on each Marriott stay. For flights with Singapore Airlines, you’ll earn 1,200 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points. Eligible travel runs from October 10 to December 12, 2024.

To earn points from flights with this promotion, you must book a paid reservation directly with Singapore Airlines. Award travel isn’t eligible. Moreover, you’ll earn 1,200 bonus points per booking, even if the reservation has more than 1 flight segment.

For hotel stays, you must complete at least 1 night of the reservation before December 12, 2024, and only paid stays are eligible.

It’s also worth noting that the terms say you can only participate in 1 promotion for dual earning per calendar year.

Status Match and Accelerator Opportunities

If you currently have at least Marriott Bonvoy Gold or Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Elite Silver status, you can status match from one program to the other.

Further, each program offers accelerator opportunities for those who successfully match their status.

KrisFlyer Elite Silver members can complete a challenge to earn Marriott Bonvoy Silver status. This can be achieved by staying 3 qualifying nights in participating hotels within 6 months of registration.

KrisFlyer Elite Gold members, along with Solitaire PPS Club and PPS Club members, can match their status directly to Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status, which comes with valuable perks like 2 p.m. late checkout, bonus points, and room upgrades (subject to availability).

These members can then earn Bonvoy Platinum Elite status after staying 10 qualifying nights at participating hotels. Stays must be completed within 6 months of registration.

Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite members can partake in an accelerator offer to earn KrisFlyer Elite Silver status. Members need to fly 2 qualifying KrisFlyer commercial flights within 6 months of registration. Airfare purchased in the G fare class, award tickets, and codeshare flights are excluded.

Those with Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador Elite status can match directly to KrisFlyer Elite Silver status. These members can step up to KrisFlyer Elite Gold Status by flying 4 qualifying flights on a Singapore Airlines commercial flight. Airfare purchased in the G fare class, award tickets, and codeshare flights are excluded. The flights must be completed within 6 months of registration.

Hot Tip:

Registration is required to participate in any of these status match/challenge opportunities. Link your accounts at this page to start your status match!

Final Thoughts

Marriott and Singapore Airlines’ Preferred Program is an opportunity for eligible members to earn complimentary elite status in either program. Even better, accelerator offers allow members to step up to an even higher level of status after completing a set flying or staying requirements.

Plus, for a limited time, you can earn hotel points on qualifying flights and airline miles on hotel stays.
