A brand new benefit was just added to The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, and it could add a lot of value to your card. The new $200 Hilton Statement Credit benefit is available now. Enrollment is required, and you’ll need to have a Hilton for Business account, which can be created during enrollment.

Let’s jump into the details of this new Amex Business Platinum card benefit.

New Hilton Credit on the Amex Business Platinum Card

There’s a new benefit on the Amex Business Platinum card: up to $200 in Hilton credits per calendar year (up to $50 per quarter). Enrollment is required, and you’ll need to have a Hilton for Business account. If you don’t already have one, it will be created upon enrollment in this new benefit.

After enrolling in the benefit, you’ll get a confirmation email from American Express. You need to receive this email before your Hilton purchases are eligible for the statement credit.

To earn the quarterly credit, purchases must be made directly with a property in the Hilton portfolio using your Amex Business Platinum card. Purchases through third parties like an online travel agent (OTA for short; sites like Hotels.com or Expedia) aren’t eligible for this new credit.

Eligible purchases include room rates and incidental charges made by the cardmember and those with employee cards. Incidental charges, such as dining and spa charges, must be charged to the room to qualify for the statement credit.

Statement credits are usually issued within a few days but could take 8 to 12 weeks.

This new credit operates similarly to the $200 Hilton credit on the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card. This perk also requires enrollment.

Bottom Line:

The Amex Business Platinum card just got a valuable new benefit: up to $200 in Hilton statement credits per calendar year (up to $50 per quarter). This new benefit requires enrollment and a Hilton for Business account, which can be created during enrollment.
