IHG will increase its presence in Indonesia with the signing of 2 new hotels in Bali.
Here’s what you need to know!
voco and Holiday Inn Express Brands Coming to Indonesia
IHG says it will debut the high-end voco brand in Indonesia, with the opening of the voco Bali Seminyak in 2024. The 162-room hotel will be a 20-minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) and will have a restaurant, bar, meeting room, health club, and swimming pool.
On the other hand, the Holiday Inn Express Bali Sunset Road will be a the conversion of an existing building. This hotel will have a restaurant, meeting space, health club, and swimming pool. A 12-minute drive from the airport, the hotel will be a convenient stop for travelers visiting Bali or other parts of Southeast Asia.
“We share a commitment to develop high-quality, best-in-class properties and experiences, and are delighted to introduce voco Bali Seminyak – the first voco property in Indonesia and a perfect fit for Seminyak with its bold and charming nature – and Holiday Inn Express Sunset Road, which will champion simple, smart travel for people on the go,” said Patrick Finn, Vice President of Southeast Asia and Korea Development at IHG.
Bali is one of the world’s most sought-after travel destinations, particularly for travelers interested in wellness. Therefore, it makes sense that IHG would expand its more affordable options in the region.
How To Book
Both hotels are expected to participate in the IHG One Rewards program.
Meanwhile, you can earn and redeem points for a stay at IHG’s other properties in the region. IHG offers 2 personal and 1 business credit card, all of which are issued by Chase. Additionally, you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points to IHG One Rewards at a 1:1 ratio.
IHG has a sizable presence in Indonesia, with a whopping 2 dozen properties across 6 brands. Another 14 are currently in the pipeline, the chain says.
This is excellent news for IHG fans. Soon, the hotel chain will have even more more luxury and budget options in Southeast Asia. While we wait for the new hotels to open, check out some of IHG’s other properties in Bali, which include some great sweet spots for award and cash stays!
