Capital One has introduced several new benefits on a few of its credit cards thanks to a new partnership with Uber.

The new partnership will include opportunities for membership in Uber’s frequent rider program and significant savings on rides.

Let’s have a look at the details!

10% Discount on Uber Rides

When you charge your Uber ride or Uber Eats purchase to your eligible Capital One credit card, you’ll now save 10%, issued as a statement credit, which is a tremendous saving. No other credit card or charge card issued by any bank offers as much savings as this, so this might be worth looking into if you’re a frequent rideshare rider.

Here are the cards that are eligible for the 10% discount:

Probably the most popular of these cards is the Capital One Savor card, which offers 3% cash back on dining, grocery stores, entertainment, and select streaming services. The card comes with no annual fee, and also has no foreign transaction fees. Now simply holding this card will get you 10% back on Uber rides — and it will continue to be offered with no annual fee.

Uber One Membership

The same credit cards that get a 10% discount on rides will also get a complimentary Uber One membership, which is valued at $9.99 a month. Simply charge the Uber One membership to your card on a monthly basis and you’ll get a monthly statement in the amount of that charge. The Capital One Savor card and the Capital One SavorOne card get a 2-year membership, whereas the Capital One Quicksilver Student Card gets a complimentary 6-month membership.

Uber One comes with some interesting perks, including:

  • $0 delivery fees on Uber Eats food orders that exceed $15, as well as on grocery purchases over $30
  • Members are paired with the best Uber drivers with the highest ratings
  • A 5% discount on rides, Uber Eats orders, grocery purchases, and other items
  • If your Uber order arrives late, you’ll receive $5 in Uber Cash as part of an Uber One promise
  • $0 delivery fees on Uber Eats orders

Bottom Line: Considering these benefits will come complimentary with your eligible Capital One credit card, there’s no reason you shouldn’t sign up.

Final Thoughts

A 10% savings on Uber rides as well as a complimentary Uber One membership are great new benefits being added to select Capital One credit cards.

If you’re a frequent rideshare user, both of these benefits should be a no-brainer for you, and a further reason to keep one (or more) of these cards in your wallet.
