Low-cost start-up airline Norse Atlantic Airways has officially launched 2 new exciting routes to London’s Gatwick Airport.
Here’s what you need to know about the new routes!
Norse Launches Service From Fort Lauderdale and Orlando
Norse Atlantic on February 14 announced that it would begin service from Fort Lauderdale Lauderdale (FLL) and Orlando (MCO) to London (LGW). The flights from Orlando will commence service on May 25, while the flights from Fort Lauderdale begin on May 26.
However, tickets are on sale starting today, with one-way tickets starting as low as $187. You can book directly through the airline at flynorse.com.
Flights from Orlando will operate 4x weekly in May and June, ramping up to once daily during the summer. The Fort Lauderdale service will operate 3x weekly in May and June and then 4x weekly during the summer.
London will be Norse’s third destination from Fort Lauderdale (FLL), in addition to Berlin (BER) and Oslo (OSL). Norse also serves New York (JFK) and Los Angeles (LAX), with nonstop routes to London (LGW), Berlin (BER), Oslo (OSL), and Paris (CDG).
More recently, Norse announced that it would launch flights from JFK to Rome (FCO) beginning in June 2023.
The airline says that with the launch, it “will serve more destinations from the U.S. to London Gatwickthan any other carrier this summer.” In 2021, Norse Atlantic flew more than 6 million passengers.
“We are very pleased to announce two new routes to London Gatwick from the U.S.,” Bjorn Tore Larsen, Norse Atlantic CEO, said in a statement. “We look forward to a busy summer ahead as we bring value fares and a fantastic service to passengers looking to travel across the Atlantic.”
Norse Atlantic flights are operated by its fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The Dreamliner has 282 economy seats in a 3-3-3 configuration, while the premium cabin is comprised of 56 recliner seats in a 2-3-2 configuration. The premium seats feature 43 inches of seat pitch and a 12-inch recline.
Hot Tip: As Norse is a low-cost carrier, it offers unbundled fares. Passengers can choose from 3 fares: Light, Classic, and Plus. Light fares are the cheapest and the most restrictive, while Plus fares include the maximum baggage allowance, an enhanced airport and onboard experience, and ticket flexibility.
Final Thoughts
New routes are always great news for travelers, especially at bargain prices. Adding Norse’s 2 Florida routes to London-Gatwick will provide new travel opportunities for travelers on both sides of the Atlantic, just in time for summer!
