Update:

The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

There’s no denying it — it’s neither quick nor easy to get to Australia from the East Coast of the United States. So, when we spotted these premium economy fares offered by one of the world’s most highly-rated airlines, we had to share.

You can fly from Newark all the way to Perth in Western Australia from just $2,128 round-trip. Here’s the scoop.

Deal Alert — Details

This amazing fare includes flying on Singapore Airlines’ Airbus A350 which is specially configured for ultra-long-haul flights, like the 17-to-19-hour stint between Newark (EWR) and Singapore (SIN).

The cabin is made up of just 67 business class and 94 premium economy seats.

Singapore Airlines is also a member of Star Alliance. So, if you have, for example, a United MileagePlus account, you can credit your flights to United and earn redeemable miles and elite-qualifying points for your flights.

  • Class: Business
  • Routes: New York (EWR) to Perth (PER)
  • Dates: January to August 2025
  • Rates: As low as $2,128 round-trip

When booking directly through Singapore Airlines (which we advise if possible), round-trip premium economy fares start at $2,128.

Predictably, there’s a layover in Singapore each way, but at less than 2 hours in each direction, this will be the perfect chance to get up and stretch before getting back on the plane.

You’ll find widespread availability for these fares in 2025, even during the summer:

Although the pricing is a little higher on Google Flights’ calendar, clicking through shows the reduced rate:

Best Ways to Book

When booking a cash ticket, it’s always a good idea to use a travel credit card that will reward you for booking flights.

For example, The Platinum Card® from American Express will earn you 5x points per dollar spent on flights when booked through the AmexTravel.com portal or directly with the airline (up to $500,000 per year; then 1x points).

Having an Amex Platinum card can also get you lounge access — even if you’re flying in economy — thanks to the Priority Pass membership (upon enrollment) that comes as a benefit of the card.

Booking through an online travel agency (OTA) such as Kayak or Expedia can potentially save you a few dollars, which can seem appealing at the time of booking. However, it’s worth remembering that if you need to make changes or cancellations, the headache that can often come with dealing with an OTA can make the money you saved seem insignificant.

Final Thoughts

Thanks to these amazing premium economy fares with Singapore Airlines, there’s never been a better time to consider booking that bucket-list trip Down Under. This is a great way to get to Australia comfortably, so be sure to book soon if you’re thinking about this deal!
