[Expired] Priceline Launches Summer Sale, Updates VIP Loyalty Program

With rising gas prices and pricey flights, travelers everywhere are looking to save some cash this summer.

The travel booking platform Priceline is launching its summer sale beginning June 20, which will hopefully offer some savings heading into the busy travel season.

Here’s what you need to know!

The online travel agency (OTA) Priceline is launching its annual summer sale on June 20, with promo codes available for hotel bookings. Here’s the breakdown:

Save $20 on Express Deals hotels when spending at least $125
- Code: SUMMER2022
- Dates: June 20 to June 28
Save $100 on Express Deals hotels when spending at least $500
- Code: SUMMER100
- Dates: From June 29 to July 4

Additionally, the company says thousands of hotels will be on sale for 15% off or more, and no coupon will be required. This discount is valid on select hotels booked between June 20 and July 4 for travel between June 20 and August 31.

“This summer, the travel industry is experiencing a significant boom, and we want to help ensure that our customers are getting the best deals, despite current economic stressors like inflation,” said Brett Keller, Priceline’s CEO said, in a statement.

Updates to Priceline VIP Rewards Program

Priceline also announced that it is launching an expansion of its Priceline VIP rewards program called VIP Family.

This new feature allows 3 users to pool status by creating a VIP Family. Individual family members’ completed trip totals are tallied into 1 status level, Priceline says, getting family members to higher status and more benefits.

According to the company, travelers can access savings 3x faster with VIP Family. Rewards members can now create a VIP Family to access even more exclusive discounts, coupons, and travel perks faster. There is no cost to joining the program.

Base Priceline VIP members receive hotel and rental car savings of up to 10% and a 5% Express Deal coupon after every trip. Top-tier VIP Platinum members get up to 50% savings at over 45,000 hotels, up to 20% savings on rental car reservations, and priority customer service.

“With our everyday deals, Summer Sale and VIP program we’re helping fight back against inflation to make travel more affordable and accessible,” Keller said.
