Christmas has come early for both new and existing Qatar Airways-branded credit cards issued in the U.S.

The issuer, Cardless, has significantly increased the welcome bonus offer on both cards and introduced double Avios on some spending categories until the end of the year.

Here’s everything you need to know about the offer.

Increased Welcome Bonus On Qatar Airways Credit Cards

Earlier in the year, Cardless launched 2 first-of-its-kind Qatar Airways credit cards for U.S.-based travelers.

If you haven’t applied for these cards already, now might be a good time, as the issuer is now offering increased welcome bonus offers on both the Qatar Airways Privilege Club Infinite Credit Card and Qatar Airways Privilege Club Visa Signature Credit Card.

Until December 31, 2024, spending $3,000 within 90 days of opening the Qatar Airways Visa Signature card will earn you a total of 60,000 Avios — that’s up from 40,000 bonus Avios previously.

As for the more premier Qatar Airways Infinite card new cardholders will earn a fantastic 80,000 bonus Avios after spending $5,000 within the first 90 days of card ownership.

To earn and spend the Avios associated with the credit cards, you’ll need to be a member of Privilege Club — Qatar Ariways’ loyalty program. It only takes a few minutes to join.

Hot Tip:

With redemption rates for Qatar’s famed QSuite starting at just 70,000 one-way, hitting the required spending threshold of the Qatar Airways Infinite card will earn you enough Avios to fly it for yourself for a fraction of the cost of a cash ticket.

Earn Double Points On Spending

Owners of both Qatar Airways credit cards will earn double Avios on spending until the end of 2024 — a great incentive to get you spending on the cards.

Spending bonuses on the Qatar Airways Visa Signature card will increase to 4x Avios on restaurants and 2x Avios on regular spending, while those with the Qatar Airways Infinite card will enjoy 6x earnings on restaurants and 2x on all other spending. Note that spending on Qatar Airways flights will not earn double Avios.

Bottom Line:

Cardless has increased the welcome offer on both its Qatar Airways co-branded credit cards as well as introduced increased Avios earning on some spending. With annual fees at $99 for the Qatar Airways Visa Signature card and $499 for the Qatar Airways Infinite card, you might want to take a peak at our full guide detailing each of the cards’ benefits before deciding which would better suit your wallet.

Final Thoughts

Nothing makes a credit card more tempting than an increased welcome offer. If either of these cards was on your radar, then now is as good a time as any to finally apply.

As always, make sure to do all the necessary financial planning to ensure the cards you apply for are right for you.
