When flying Qatar Airways to the bucket list paradise of the Maldives, travelers can now book connecting travel onwards from Malé with Maldivian Airlines.

“We are proud to offer the option of a seamless process, allowing passengers to book one ticket that includes both their Qatar Airways flight to Male, and the connecting Maldivian flight to their beachside getaway,” said Thierry Antinori, Chief Commercial Officer at Qatar Airways.

Here’s what the interline partnership could mean for your next trip to the Maldives.

Visit 17 Maldivian Islands With Qatar and Maldivian

Thanks to a new interline partnership with Maldivian, the nation’s flag carrier, Qatar Airways passengers can book a single ticket itinerary between their departure city and 17 destinations across the archipelago.

“By offering more choice and enhanced access to our strong and growing route network, we aim to boost tourism to the Maldives, showcasing our pristine islands to travelers from around the world,” said Ismail Amrah Umar, chief commercial officer at Maldivian.

Passengers flying in premium cabins or with Oneworld and Qatar Airways elite status will now also be able to enjoy perks and benefits when flying Maldivian, according to Antinori.

Flying to The Maldives With Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways joins Emirates and Etihad in offering an interline connection with Maldivian for enhanced connectivity around the island nation.

You can start your journey to the Maldives with Qatar from 12 gateways across North America. These are Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), Montréal (YUL), New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), Seattle (SEA), and Washington, D.C. (IAD).

After connecting at the airline’s hub in Doha, Qatar (DOH), you’ll transfer onto a comparatively short 4-hour hop to the Maldives before now being able to pick up a connection onwards to 17 airports around the Maldives.

Hot Tip:

Without doubt, the best way to fly Qatar Airways is in QSuites – the airline’s prestigious business class product. Thankfully, you can also book it using points and miles.

Final Thoughts

Qatar Airways completes the set of the big 3 Middle Eastern carriers offering interline agreements with the Maldivian flag carrier.

Now you can choose from QSuites, Emirates’ game-changer first, or Etihad’s Apartment to start your journey to 18 destinations in the Maldivian paradise.
