Marriott has opened a new high-end Renaissance hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Here’s what you need to know about Honolulu’s newest luxury hotel and how you can book with points.

Renaissance Brand’s Debut in Hawaii

Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa has 187 rooms and suites with ocean and mountain range views. The hotel has several dining options, from a Mediterranean restaurant to a pool deck bar.

Amenities include indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, a spa, a sky deck, a fitness center, 2 pools, and 2 hot tubs.

The hotel is located near the Ala Moana Center, just 7 miles from Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL).

“In a city buzzing with new and exciting retail, restaurants, and more, this is a property and a brand that will not only match the energy and vibrancy of the destination but also support its continued growth by shining a light on the businesses and people that make this neighborhood — and the island overall — such a special place,” said Jennifer Connell, vice president and global brand lead, Renaissance Hotels.

Booking Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa

The Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa is now open for guests. This property is part of the Marriott Bonvoy program, meaning you can earn and redeem points here.

If you want to use Marriott Bonvoy points, you’ll find award nights starting at 79,000 points per night this July. You’ll find cash rates from $350 per night during the same period.

For context, Marriott ditched its award chart back in 2022. The chain now uses dynamic pricing, meaning award prices can depend on various factors.

It’s extremely easy to earn Marriott Bonvoy points even if you don’t stay with the chain that often. That’s because you can transfer American Express Membership Rewards and Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Marriott at a 1:1 ratio. You can also open one of the best Marriott Bonvoy credit cards with big welcome bonus offers and elite status.

Final Thoughts

Honolulu has no shortage of luxury hotels, but the Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa provides a high-end hotel at an affordable price.

The hotel is also running several attractive promotions to drum up interest in the hotel. So, if you’re planning a trip to Hawaii, check out the new Renaissance!
