Royal Caribbean’s new co-branded credit cards from Bank of America just got more interesting.

After launching at the end of March, the Royal ONE™ Visa Signature® Credit Card and Royal ONE Plus™ Visa Signature® Credit Card now come with welcome offers that give cruise fans a clear reason to take a second look.

If you’ve been on the fence about either card, these offers could be the push you need. Here’s a closer look at the details.

New Royal Caribbean Credit Card Welcome Offers

Bank of America and Royal Caribbean announced new credit cards on March 31, 2026, but they arrived without published welcome offer. Now, however, they do, and both offers are worth a look if you sail with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, or Silversea.

The no-annual-fee Royal ONE card is offering 45,000 bonus points after you spend $2,000 on purchases in the first 90 days from account opening. With points worth 1 cent each on most redemptions, that bonus translates to $450 in value — enough to chip away at the cost of a reservation, cabin upgrade, or onboard credit on your next sailing.

With the Royal ONE Plus card, you can earn 70,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 90 days. That’s worth at least $700 — close to the price of a short Royal Caribbean cruise when redeemed well. This card has a $99 annual fee.

Comparing the Cards: Which Should You Get?

Choosing between the 2 comes down to how often you cruise and how much you spend with these brands.

The Royal ONE card has no annual fee and earns 3x points on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Silversea purchases, 2x on groceries, gas, and EV charging, and 1x on everything else. Cardholders get priority boarding on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity sailings, a $100 anniversary reward after $10,000 in spending, no foreign transaction fees, and Visa Signature travel protections.

The Royal ONE Plus card charges a $99 annual fee but bumps earnings up to 4x on the 3 cruise brands and adds airfare, hotels, and dining to the 2x category. Perks include priority suite boarding across all 3 lines, priority luggage handling on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity, a $200 anniversary reward after $20,000 in spending, and a statement credit of up to $120 for TSA PreCheck or Global Entry every 4 years.

Points redeem at 1 cent apiece across most options, including cabin upgrades, companion fares, onboard credits, excursions, onboard Wi-Fi, and dining packages. However, it’s possible to redeem points at a higher value, getting close to 2 cents per point if you pay close attention.

If you cruise once a year or less, the Royal ONE card is the easier card to justify. If you sail with these brands twice a year or more, the Royal ONE Plus card likely earns its keep through the elevated earnings, extra perks, and larger anniversary reward.

Final Thoughts

The Royal ONE card and Royal ONE Plus card didn’t launch with welcome offers at the end of March, but that’s no longer the case. Cruise fans now have 2 cards that can speed up the path to a free or discounted sailing, offering bonuses worth $450 and $700 on average.

Do the math and consider your cruise habits. If you sail with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, or Silversea somewhat regularly, one of these cards probably belongs in your wallet.
