IHG is planning to unveil its ninth property in Bali, and at the same time will debut its Vignette Collection brand in Indonesia. The 74-key boutique hotel will join the IHG system later this year as the company is set to expand its lifestyle portfolio to 100 properties within 10 years.

Here’s what you need to know about the Rumah Luwih Bali.

Rumah Luwih Bali

On October 3, 2023, IHG announced the addition of Rumah Luwih Bali to its ever-growing Vignette Collection. The beachfront luxury colonial-style resort will be refreshed in the coming months before fully joining the IHG system.

The property is located on a black sand beach within an hour’s drive of Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). Facilities include an all-day dining restaurant, a swimming pool, meeting rooms, a fitness center, and a spa.

“We already have a strong luxury and lifestyle footprint in Bali with fantastic award-winning hotels across Six Senses, Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts, and Hotel Indigo,” said Chris Anklin, Senior Director, Development, South East Asia and Korea, IHG Hotels & Resorts. “This hotel will offer a one-of-a-kind stay for travelers as it expands our portfolio of brands on the Island of the Gods.”

How To Book

While the property isn’t yet bookable, it is expected to participate in the IHG One Rewards program.

Meanwhile, you can earn and redeem IHG One Rewards points for stays at IHG’s other properties in the region. IHG offers 2 personal and 1 business credit card, all of which are issued by Chase. Additionally, you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points to IHG One Rewards at a 1:1 ratio.

IHG has a sizable presence in Indonesia, with a whopping 2 dozen properties across 6 brands.

If you’re planning a visit, you can find some high-end brands in Bali, like the Intercontinental Bali ResortSix Senses Uluwatu Bali, and Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach.

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for a boutique hotel in Bali but still want to earn or redeem points with a major brand, this property looks like it should be a solid option once it fully opens and participates in the IHG One Rewards program next year. With a unique style and a vibe that’s far from cookie-cutter, the Vignette Collection is a fascinating addition to the IHG lineup.
