Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

The Southwest® Rapid Rewards® Performance Business Credit Card and the Southwest® Rapid Rewards® Premier Business Credit Card have increased welcome bonus offers, which is great news. The bad news is that these offers are ending on September 17, 2024.

Eligible applicants have the opportunity to earn up to 120,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards points, but is it worth it? Here’s what you need to know about these business cards.

Southwest Business Credit Card Welcome Bonus Offer Details

The welcome offers for each card are broken down into 2 parts. The first part of the welcome bonus is a standard level of spending, while the second portion could be a lofty goal for some.

The offer on both of the cards is ending on September 17, 2024, at 9 a.m. ET.

With these new welcome bonus offers, you can easily earn the coveted Southwest Companion Pass, which normally requires 135,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards points earned in a calendar year. Once earned, you can bring a designated travel companion for buy-one, get-one flights, for just the cost of taxes and fees.

By earning up to 120,000 bonus points from the welcome offers and points from the spending required to get there, the Companion Pass can be yours just from opening either of these cards and earning the welcome bonus. Remember that you’ll also get a boost of 10,000 Companion Pass-qualifying points every January if you hold a Southwest credit card — including these small business cards.

Hot Tip:

I had the Companion Pass years ago, and with a significant other, travelers can maximize the benefit for a solid value. It’s one of the best deals you can have as a flyer, and earning it without flying a ton makes it that much sweeter.

Southwest Performance Business Card vs. Southwest Premier Business Card

Ultimately, earning 120,000 points from the welcome bonus offer alone can be an incredible deal. But here’s a further breakdown of each card’s benefits:

Final Thoughts

Southwest continues to be one of the best commercial airlines with its friendly staff and free checked bag policy. Some don’t like the lack of an assigned seat, but the opportunity to earn a heap of miles with this new welcome bonus offer may be worth it for business travelers.
