Time is running out on some of the strongest Southwest credit card welcome bonus offers we’ve seen in years.

The elevated offers on the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Priority Credit Card, Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card, and Southwest Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card expire on July 2, 2026, at 9 a.m. ET, so this is your final window to lock one in.

Here’s what you need to know before these offers disappear.

Southwest Credit Card Offers for up to 90,000 Bonus Points

All 3 personal Southwest cards are carrying distinct elevated bonuses right now. These offers are set to end on July 2, 2026, at 9 a.m. ET:

  • Southwest Priority card: Earn 90,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
  • Southwest Premier card: Earn 85,000 bonus points after spending $2,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
  • Southwest Plus card: Earn 80,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

The previous standard offers sat at 50,000 Rapid Rewards points, so even the lowest of these represents a substantial upgrade. It’s also worth pointing out that both the Southwest Plus card and the Southwest Premier card come with lower minimum spending requirements than usual, making these bonuses achievable even without a big purchase on the horizon.

We value Southwest Rapid Rewards points at 1.3 cents apiece, putting the 90,000-point offer at roughly $1,170, the 85,000-point offer at $1,105, and the 80,000-point offer at $1,040.

Any of these bonuses also gives you a strong head start toward the Southwest Companion Pass, which requires 135,000 qualifying points earned in a calendar year. Points from credit card welcome offers count toward that threshold, and Southwest cardholders earn a 10,000-point annual bonus that also counts.

The Companion Pass lets you bring a designated companion on any Southwest flight for nothing beyond taxes and fees — just $5.60 each way on a domestic ticket. It’s valid for an unlimited number of flights and applies to both cash and points bookings, making it one of the most valuable perks in domestic air travel. Once you earn the Companion Pass, it’s valid for the remainder of the year plus all of the following year.

A Closer Look at Each Southwest Credit Card

The right card depends on more than just the welcome offer. Annual fees, earning rates, and ongoing perks vary across all 3 options. Here’s a breakdown to help you match the card to your travel habits. Keep in mind that Southwest’s credit cards underwent changes in 2025, so it’s worth reviewing the current benefits before applying.

Southwest Plus Card

The Southwest Plus card is the entry-level option, carrying a $99 annual fee. The Southwest Plus card’s benefits include:

Final Thoughts

Whether you’re aiming to build a Rapid Rewards stash, chase the Companion Pass, or simply squeeze more value out of Southwest flying, these are genuinely strong offers — and the tiered spending requirements make them accessible across a range of budgets.

However, the clock is ticking. All 3 offers end on July 2, 2026, at 9 a.m. ET, and once that window closes, there’s no guarantee we’ll see bonuses at this level again anytime soon. If earning up to 90,000 Rapid Rewards points sounds appealing, now is the time to act.
