Move over, Black Friday. It’s officially Cyber Monday and the deals keep coming.

Spirit Airlines has joined the fray with a promotion of its own: members of the Free Spirit program can earn double points on airfare and Spirit Vacation Packages purchases for the entirety of Cyber Monday.

Let’s take a look at everything you should know!

Free Spirit Members Earn Double Points on Cyber Monday

For 1 day — November 28, 2022 — only, members of the Free Spirit program will earn double points on every dollar spent on airfare and vacation package purchases.

This means that general members will earn 12 points per dollar spent, Silver members will earn 16 points per dollar, and Gold members will earn a whopping 20 points per dollar spent on these purchases.

In addition, all Free Spirit members can earn 1,000 bonus points on any Spirit Vacations packages purchased on Cyber Monday.

That’s not all, though. Spirit is offering a further 500 bonus points to new members and any existing members who register.

How To Earn Free Spirit Points

The Free Spirit program employs a dynamic pricing model, which means the number of points you’ll pay for a given flight varies with the cash price of the ticket. Redemptions start at a minimum of 2,500 points.

Spirit doesn’t have a partnership with any of the major transferable points currencies, meaning the methods of earning points are limited. Of course, you can fly with the airline and earn points that way, but likely the easiest way to earn a significant number of Free Spirit points is by opening a co-branded credit card. Bank of America and Spirit also offer 2 publicly available co-branded credit cards: the Free Spirit® Travel More World Elite Mastercard® and Free Spirit® Travel Mastercard®.

Hot Tip: Once you’ve collected your bonus points, learn the best ways to redeem Free Spirit points for max value in our detailed guide.

Final Thoughts

While Spirit’s Free Spirit program is often overlooked, free flights are free flights. And the opportunity to earn double points on airfare and vacation package purchases could represent a great value, especially if you fly Spirit with any regularity.

If you’ve been looking at booking travel with the carrier — either airfare or vacation packages — today’s the day to do so.
