Do you love Star Wars? Do you have too much money and not enough time? Perhaps you’ve heard of Disney’s newest endeavor, a 2-night “cruise” that hopes to take guests on one of the world’s most immersive adventures. Now, Disney is releasing new dates through September 2023 for its Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser experience. Let’s take a look.

An Immersive Star Wars Vacation

Disney made some serious waves earlier this year when it debuted the launch of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, an exorbitantly expensive, all-inclusive stay that takes place at Walt Disney World. Featuring a minimum price tag of at least $4,809 for 2 adults — and going up from there — you’ll really need to be a fan in order to find this experience worth it.

Throughout the 2-night voyage, guests interact with characters such as Chewbacca and Rey, crewmembers, and other guests and become part of the unfolding story. Onboard activities include lightsaber training, learning about the starcruiser’s systems and controls, and playing holo-sabacc. Entry to Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is also scheduled. Back on board, guests will discover tastes from across the galaxy with unique and entertaining dining experiences.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser’s New Dates

The price tag hasn’t stopped guests from snatching up bookings, however, and Disney has helped build up the hype by only releasing limited space aboard its hotel-slash-spaceship (this is thanks to the starcruiser’s inherently limited size).

Now, Disney has announced that new booking dates for 2023 will be opened. Beginning September 1, 2022, at 7 a.m. EST, guests will be able to book stays all the way through the end of September 2023 by calling 407-939-1800 or enlisting the help of an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner.

Redeeming Points for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

We don’t blame you if the Star Wars hotel experience seems way out of budget. Almost no one is willing to spend upwards of $2,000 per night for a hotel — especially if it’s not possible to redeem points to minimize the cost.

Happily, however, there is still a way to redeem points for the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, though you won’t get any outsized value by using these methods.

The most important thing to note is that bookings for Disney’s Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser codes as a travel purchase. Unlike an independent hotel booking through Disney’s website or a purchase of theme park tickets, this inclusive package is considered “travel.” Why is this important? Because it allows you to redeem a variety of points against these bookings, including:

Final Thoughts

If you’re a Star Wars fanatic who’s been looking for a chance to experience Disney’s newest hotel, your chance is coming up. On September 1, 2022, new dates for the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will open, allowing you to book stays through September 2023.

Although eye-waveringly expensive, it’s still possible to redeem points against these purchases, helping you minimize the cost of this bucket-list adventure.
