The date is set for November 20, 2025.

SWISS will debut its Airbus A350, complete with all-new cabins, on its route to Boston 6 weeks earlier than originally planned.

Here’s what we know so far about the rollout of SWISS Senses and the airline’s new Airbus A350.

SWISS Senses Coming To Boston On November 20

SWISS chose Boston (BOS) to be the first international destination to welcome its A350 and full SWISS Senses experience.

SWISS has redesigned all of its offerings, called SWISS Senses, from the front of the cabin to the back. An improvement passengers can enjoy in all cabins is the ability to use Bluetooth to connect their own headphones to the IFE.

The aircraft comprises 242 seats: 3.5 in first, 45 in business, 38 in premium economy, and 156 in economy. SWISS, along with Lufthansa and Japan Airlines, is one of just a handful of airlines that opted for full first-class cabins on their Airbus A350s.

Economy seats, arranged in a 3-3-3 configuration, feature a high-resolution screen and USB ports. Premium economy seats, arranged in a 2-3-2 configuration, offer a seat pitch of nearly 36 inches, a 4K screen, and a wireless charging capability.

The most impressive and notable updates have been saved for business and first class. SWISS first class will feature closable sliding doors, a seat table, heating and cooling at the seat, a wireless charging station, and a massive screen display. For passengers traveling together, the Suite Plus in the center of the first class cabin can be configured to seat 2 guests, hence why the cabin has 3.5 seats, rather than 4.

In business class, SWISS will offer several seating options, similar to Lufthansa’s Allegris. All seats will include lie-flat beds and, like SWISS first class, feature in-seat heating and cooling plus a wireless charging station.

Bottom Line:

SWISS says all of its new A350-900s will be delivered with SWISS Senses cabin installed. The airline will “gradually” roll out SWISS Senses on its fleet of Airbus A330-300 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Booking SWISS Senses

Tickets are on sale for SWISS’s new Airbus A350-900 and its SWISS Senses experience.

As per Google Flights, the plane isn’t yet scheduled to operate every flight between Boston and Zurich (ZRH). Be sure to double-check this before booking so as not to be disappointed with the airline’s older Airbus A330 aircraft.

Luckily, you have plenty of options for booking SWISS flights with points and miles. As a Star Alliance airline, you can book through programs such as:

How much you’ll pay will depend on which program you use. For instance, you can find a business-class ticket from Boston to Zurich for 60,000 Aeroplan points one-way using the program’s distance-based award chart.

Unfortunately, SWISS blocks nearly all of its first-class seats from award bookings unless you have elite status in the Miles & More program.

Final Thoughts

In a rare turn of events, the stunning new SWISS Senses product will take to the skies to Boston for the first time earlier than expected. If you can find a well-priced ticket or award redemption, SWISS’s new Airbus A350 promises to offer a stellar experience for all passengers, no matter the cabin.
