If you recently opened a new Chase card, you’ll want to check your email. It appears select cardholders are being targeted for a surprise $50 Chase Travel credit.

Here’s who’s eligible and how long you have to use it.

Chase Cardholders Targeted for $50 Chase Travel Credit

If you’ve opened a Chase credit card sometime in the past year, it’s worth checking your inbox. Some cardholders are getting targeted with a $50 travel credit that can be used through Chase Travel.

So far, it looks like this offer is going out to those with newer Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card or Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card accounts.

Depending on which card you have, the email may arrive with different subject lines — “Introducing Points Boost on Chase Travel” for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card, and “Review Changes and New Features Coming to Your Card” for the Ink Business Preferred card.

Inside, you’ll find instructions on how to utilize the $50 credit. Once you opt in, you’ll have until June 23, 2026, to use it — plenty of time to apply the credit toward a flight, hotel, or rental car booked through Chase Travel.

Who’s Eligible?

While Chase hasn’t made a public announcement about the promotion, all signs indicate that it’s a targeted offer. So far, only select cardholders of the Chase Sapphire Preferred card and Ink Business Preferred card appear to be eligible — and based on the wording in the emails, it seems to be aimed at those who opened their accounts within the past 12 months.

Unfortunately, there’s no public enrollment link. Only those who received the email directly can utilize the offer.

Members of the Upgraded Points team who’ve held these cards for a while have not been targeted, further suggesting that this $50 credit is specifically being offered to newer cardholders.

The $50 credit can be used on travel expenses booked through the Chase Travel portal, including flights, hotels, car rentals, and more. Unlike the annual $50 hotel credit that comes with the Chase Sapphire Preferred card, this credit is a 1-time offer and is stackable with any existing benefits.

Hot Tip:

Make sure to opt in to Chase promotional mailings through your account settings to be targeted with offers like this one, which could result in savings or extra points.

Final Thoughts

Targeted Chase Travel credits like this don’t come around often — and when they do, they’re usually tied to promotions for new and existing cardholders. If you’ve opened a Chase Sapphire Preferred card or Ink Business Preferred card within the past year, it’s worth doing a quick search in your inbox (and spam folder) for these offers. The credit expires on June 23, 2026, so there’s no rush to use it immediately.
