The promotion is pretty straightforward, but there is some fine print to be aware of:

Registration required
Stay through 8/31/23
A stay is defined as one or more consecutive nights spent at the same hotel regardless of check-in/checkout activity
Award nights do not qualify, only cash rates booked directly with Marriott
Members can earn a maximum of 1 Free Night Award during the promotion
Free Night Award valued at 35,000 points
Free Night Award is valid for 6 months

Although the Free Night Award expires after only 6 months, it is eligible to be topped off with up to 15,000 Marriott Bonvoy points, which can help open up some more redemption possibilities.

Where To Redeem Your Free Night

While a 35,000-point Free Night Award may not seem like all that much, there are some pretty nice hotels around the world you could stay at.

And if you top it off with 15,000 Marriott Bonvoy points from your account, the maximum value of the certificate increases to 50,000 points, opening up some great options both in the U.S. and abroad.

This is a pretty solid promotion from Marriott Bonvoy, so if you already have summer travel planned, registering for this promotion is a no-brainer.

However, it might not be worth going out of your way to stay at Marriott properties just for a 35,000-point certificate with a 6-month validity unless it makes sense for you and you have a redemption in mind.
