Marriott Bonvoy is out with a targeted global promotion that should be pretty attractive to many travelers — stay twice, earn a free night!

The promotion is pretty straightforward, but there is some fine print to be aware of:
Although the Free Night Award expires after only 6 months, it is eligible to be topped off with up to 15,000 Marriott Bonvoy points, which can help open up some more redemption possibilities.
While a 35,000-point Free Night Award may not seem like all that much, there are some pretty nice hotels around the world you could stay at.
And if you top it off with 15,000 Marriott Bonvoy points from your account, the maximum value of the certificate increases to 50,000 points, opening up some great options both in the U.S. and abroad.
With nightly rates as low as 31,000 Marriott Bonvoy points, you could enjoy Miami’s popular Brickell district, be close to South Beach, and relax in the outdoor heated pool.
If you prefer a desert vibe, and maybe some golf and lazy rivers, this JW Marriott property in Arizona has your name on it, with rooms starting from 30,000 points per night.
With some extra points to top off your certificate, you could stay at the very luxurious Ritz-Carlton in Wolfsburg, Germany. With rates ranging from 30,000 to 45,000 points per night, you may not even need to dip into your points balance to top off the certificate!
For as few as 40,000 Marriott Bonvoy points, you could stay at this luxurious Greek resort nestled on a white-sand beach. This 5-star, adults-only resort is a stunningly good deal.

This is a pretty solid promotion from Marriott Bonvoy, so if you already have summer travel planned, registering for this promotion is a no-brainer.
However, it might not be worth going out of your way to stay at Marriott properties just for a 35,000-point certificate with a 6-month validity unless it makes sense for you and you have a redemption in mind.

I have a question. I already have 300,000 Marriott Bonvoy points after transferring from Qantas Points. I am also targeted for this offer. If I get this promotion and get 35,000 points. How can I use it first? Because Free Night Award is valid for 6 months. I am confusing it. Is this point same as Marriott Bonvoy points?
