United Airlines, in collaboration with Sesame Street, has announced its new children’s travel kit. This comes soon after the airline welcomed its new Chief Trash Officer, Oscar the Grouch.

The new amenity kit is a welcome addition to other family-friendly offerings such as free kids’ meals and a generous seating policy for families.

Here’s what young travelers can look forward to in United’s new children’s travel kit.

Keeping Kids Busy While Flying

United’s new children’s travel kit will feature an Oscar the Grouch color and activity book with crayons. The book contains pages to color as well as mazes, dot-to-dot activities, and more. There will also be an Oscar the Grouch slide puzzle where kids can slide the pieces into the right spot to get to the final image.

The final item inside of the kids’ amenity kid will be a sensory calming strip, a textured surface to help soothe and relax anxious kiddos.

Hot Tip:

Welcome Family-Friendly Perks

United Airlines has made significant moves toward inclusivity for its youngest travelers this year. The airline even amended its seating policy to be more sensitive to travelers with small children.

Free kids’ meals are also available on international flights as well as first-class domestic flights longer than 2,000 miles.

New Amenity Kit Also Added to Transcon and Hawaiʻi Routes

Parents are not left behind, however, as 2 new amenity kits for select passengers also recently debuted.

Business class passengers flying premium transcontinental routes between West Coast hubs and the New York City area will receive a new kit from the Venus Williams-backed brand Asutra. This kit features an Asutra cleansing face towelette, lip balm, hand lotion, a bamboo toothbrush, toothpaste, and an eye mask and ear plugs.

First class passengers traveling between the continental U.S. and Hawaiʻi will receive a new amenity kit by Hawaiian brand Ua Body. The kit comes in 4 designs and features lip balm, hand cream, face mist, an eye mask, a bamboo toothbrush, toothpaste, and ear plugs.

Final Thoughts

As more and more families travel with their young children, it’s inevitable that airlines would begin to cater to their youngest travelers even a little bit. United’s collaboration with Sesame Street is a great way to start and end any family vacation.
