Chase has announced an increased welcome bonus for new owners of the United℠ Business Card.
Without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about the exciting new offer and a look at some of the card’s benefits, as well as tips on how you might go about spending those bonus points.
New United Business Card Welcome Offer
New Offer: Earn 75,000 miles after you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months your account is open. Earn an additional 75,000 miles after you spend $20,000 total in the first 6 months.
That’s a whopping total of 150,000 miles — double the number of bonus miles that were previously offered.
However, it does mean you’ll need to spend 4 times the original offer in just double the time.
Considering our valuation of United Airlines MileagePlus miles at 1.3 cents per mile, this new welcome offer has a cash value of $1,950, which makes this one of the best welcome bonuses out there.
United Business Card Benefits
Using the United Business card on United purchases, dining (including eligible delivery services), gas, and office supplies, as well as local transit and commuting, will earn you 2 miles for every $1 spent. All other purchases will earn you 1 mile per $1 spent.
Other perks include:
- A 5,000-mile “better together” bonus each anniversary when you have both the United Business card and a personal United credit card
- Free first checked bag, 2 United Club 1-time passes per year, and priority boarding privileges
- 1-year DoorDash DashPass membership, including unlimited deliveries with a $0 delivery fee and reduced service fees on eligible orders over $12. Activate by 3/20/22.
- $100 United travel credit after 7 United flight purchases of $100 or more each anniversary year
Hot Tip: In addition to the United Business card, United offers 1 additional business card and 4 personal credit cards through Chase. Take a look at our guide to the top Chase United credit cards to decide which would best suit your wallet.
Where Can 150,000 United Miles Take You?
The travel potential with 150,000 United miles is exciting, to say the least.
Lufthansa First Class
One of the most sought-after experiences in the sky is Lufthansa’s first class. This welcome bonus alone would be enough for a one-way ticket to or from the U.S., which starts from 121,000 miles.
Lufthansa’s first class passengers departing Frankfurt (FRA) are eligible to pass through an exclusive First Class Terminal before boarding their flights, so Frankfurt to the U.S. would be the best direction to redeem a one-way ticket.
Polaris to Europe or Asia
For something a little less costly and extravagant, 150,000 MileagePlus miles is enough for a round-trip from across the U.S. to Europe and Asia in Polaris business class with one-ways from just 60,000 and 70,000 United miles, respectively.
If you own a business and haven’t got a United Business card yet, then now is the time to seriously consider it.
While the points-earning capability of the card on regular spending isn’t the highest out there, the value of the welcome bonus makes this card a very seductive option.
