TAP Air Portugal has done us all a favor: The airline made numerous business-class award seats available on nonstop flights to Lisbon (LIS) from now through the end of the schedule in January 2026.

There are as many as 9 seats per flight available in business class. Therefore, if you’re trying to get to Europe, take a look and see if there are dates that work with your schedule.

Portugal Business Class Award Deal — Details

TAP Air Portugal is a Star Alliance member, which means you can redeem your miles from airlines like United, Air Canada, Avianca, and ANA for these flights. While TAP’s cabins offer lie-flat seats and good food, they’re not the most premium product in the sky.

Here are the details of this award deal:

  • Class: Business
  • Routes: Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Newark (EWR), New York-Kennedy (JFK), and Washington Dulles (IAD) to Lisbon (LIS)
  • Dates: February 2025 to January 2026
  • Rates: From 60,000 points plus $55.30 in taxes and fees

Air Canada’s award search isn’t great for comparing a range of dates or multiple departure points. Instead, you can use a tool like Seats.aero to compare multiple dates and cities.

Best Ways To Book

You can book a one-way business class ticket through Air Canada Aeroplan for the cheapest 60,000-point rate from East Coast cities. Fortunately, it’s easy to earn Aeroplan points, thanks to partnerships with American Express Membership Rewards, Bilt Rewards, Brex Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, and Capital One miles, which transfer over at a 1:1 ratio.

However, the cheapest way to book these flights is through ANA Mileage Club, which charges 100,000 miles round-trip, plus roughly $64 in taxes and fees. You can earn ANA miles by transferring your Amex points to ANA at a 1:1 ratio.

However, Amex Membership Rewards points transfers to ANA can take up to 3 days to process. Also, note that ANA doesn’t allow one-way award bookings. That said, with the amount of award availability we’re seeing, you should still be able to book these flights by the time your points transfer if your travel schedule is flexible.

Final Thoughts

Finding nonstop awards in business class to Europe for all of this year and the start of next year is excellent news. You can walk down Lisbon’s cobblestone streets or head further afield to places like Porto and Cascais. Wherever you’re headed, there’s currently a ton of award availability on TAP Portugal through the end of the schedule.
