TAP Air Portugal has done us all a favor and dumped several dates of business class award seats on nonstop flights to Lisbon (LIS) this summer.

We’re seeing as many as 9 business class seats per flight. Therefore, if you’re trying to get to Europe, especially during the peak July and August months, take a look and see if there are dates that work for you.

Fare Deal — Details

TAP Air Portugal is a member of the Star Alliance, which means you’ll be able to redeem your points from airlines such as United, Air Canada, Avianca, and ANA. While TAP’s cabins all offer lie-flat seats and good food, just know they’re not the most premium product in the sky.

  • Class: Business
  • Routes: Boston (BOS) and Miami (MIA) to Lisbon (LIS)
  • Dates: July to August 2024
  • Rates: As low as 88,000 miles round-trip

At the time of writing, these are the list of dates available:

  • Boston to Lisbon: July 13, 16, 18, 22, 24; August 19
  • Miami to Lisbon: July 10, 15, 18-19, 22, 25, 26, 29-31; August 1-3, 5-8, 13-15, 19-22, 25-28
  • Lisbon to Boston: July 11, August 20-21
  • Lisbon to Miami: August 23-24, 26-30

Best Ways to Book

The cheapest way to book these flights is through ANA, charging you 88,000 miles round-trip for your flight and just $62 in taxes and fees.

You can earn ANA miles by transferring over your Amex points to ANA at a 1:1 ratio. By doing so, you can book your round-trip flight for just 88,000 miles.

However, just know that Amex Membership Rewards points transfers to ANA can take up to 3 days. But with the amount of availability we’re seeing, you should still be able to book these flights by the time your points transfer, especially if you’re flexible on dates.

If you’d rather book a one-way ticket — perhaps you’re routing through another European city on the return flight home — then you can book through Avianca LifeMiles instead. Fortunately, LifeMiles are spectacularly easy to earn thanks to their partnerships with American Express Membership Rewards, Capital One Miles, and Citi ThankYou points, which transfer over to Avianca at a 1:1 ratio.

Through LifeMiles, the one-way flight will cost you 63,000 miles and $27 in taxes and fees, which is still a great bargain for a summer flight to Europe.

Final Thoughts

It’s rare to find nonstop award flights from the business class flights to Europe in the summer, let alone with multiple seats. If this is something you’re interested in, jump now before it disappears!
