Hyatt announced on December 18, 2024, that it had entered into a long-term licensing agreement with The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.

Beginning today, members of World of Hyatt can earn and redeem points for qualifying stays at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. Additionally, they will receive elite night credits and have the opportunity to add a new brand to their Brand Explorer award progress.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Venetian Resort Las Vegas Officially Joins Hyatt

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas and The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort are now bookable with World of Hyatt points.

The move is great news for World of Hyatt members who want to visit Sin City and earn and redeem Hyatt points from their stays.

In terms of points rates, we’re seeing a shift towards revenue-based pricing for these 2 properties, rather than the fixed category pricing typically associated with most Hyatt brands. This is similar to the way Mr & Mrs Smith hotels are priced.

Standard awards range from 24,000 to nearly 30,000 points for a luxury king suite or 26,000 to 32,000 points per night for a newly renovated luxury 2-queen room.

Each eligible night stay will also count towards World of Hyatt elite status and Milestone Rewards earnings. Stays also will count toward Brand Explorer awards, which is a loyalty initiative with Hyatt that rewards members for staying at different Hyatt brands.

The Venetian Resort will be its own standalone brand as part of the World of Hyatt program, making it the 32nd brand for the growing hotel company and providing more opportunities for Hyatt fans to earn Brand Explorer awards.

This indicates that Hyatt has officially expanded its Las Vegas portfolio with the addition of 7,000 rooms. The resort is located directly on the Las Vegas Strip and features Italian-themed rooms and suites, a day club, 2 casinos, and nearly 3 dozen dining options.

Hot Tip:

Elite members of World of Hyatt will experience benefits including Invited Guest check-in, late checkout, and suite upgrades subject to availability, as well as discounts on gondola rides and select retail items. Moreover, cardholders of The World of Hyatt Credit Card and World of Hyatt Business Credit Card will now receive 4x points for every $1 spent at The Venetian and The Palazzo hotels as part of the 9x points these cards earn at participating World of Hyatt properties.

Final Thoughts

This is extremely exciting news for Hyatt loyalists. The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is one of the most recognizable resorts on the Strip, offering high-end rooms, dining, and casinos. With the addition of these 2 popular hotels on the Vegas strip, World of Hyatt fans visiting Las Vegas now have 5 Hyatt hotels to pick from.

The dynamic points pricing here is a downside, but the Brand Explorer inclusion is a win.
