The Virgin Group’s overhauled rewards club, Virgin Red, debuted in February 2021 in the U.K. After a successful launch, it has now been rolled out in the U.S.
“We’ve had a whirlwind of a year building the U.K. program and it is only right we launch in America where we have so many loyal customers and Virgin Companies,” said Andrea Burchett, International and Strategic Development Director at Virgin Red.
In a nutshell, you now have access to earn and spend Virgin Points in more ways than just through flying Virgin Atlantic.
Your Virgin Red USA
Given that Brits and Americans live and spend their money differently, Virgin Red has tweaked the existing U.K. Virgin Red program to make it more suitable for its U.S. members.
All new Flying Club members will also now be automatically enrolled into Virgin Red.
Earning Virgin Points
One of the best perks that Virgin Red USA offers is that renters who pay their rent through Bilt Rewards can now convert their Bilt points into Virgin Points to redeem on Virgin Atlantic flights and more.
Yes, paying your monthly rent can now fund your flights.
Looking for a new hotel to try out? Why not check out 1 of (or all) 5 Virgin Hotels. Stays at the Virgin Hotels in Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Nashville, and New Orleans will earn Virgin Red members a bonus of 1,000 Virgin Points per stay when booked through Virgin Red.
There are also new hotels in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Miami (not until 2025), and New York opening soon — watch this space!
Virgin Red Partners
Virgin Red has partnered with a selection of top U.S. retail brands to provide Virgin Red members with more ways to earn Virgin Points when shopping online.
Spending at The Home Depot, iTunes USA, Kohl’s, Macy’s, and Walgreens can now earn you bonus Virgin Points.
Booking Virgin Atlantic flights is without doubt one of the best uses of Virgin Points.
However, Virgin Red USA members can book breaks away with Virgin Limited Edition (Sir Richard Branson’s collection of unique retreats and luxury hotels) and will soon be able to redeem Virgin Points on gifts and experiences with Virgin Experience Gifts.
You can even help support the development of technologies that remove carbon from the earth’s atmosphere by donating Virgin Points to Virgin’s sustainability partner Carbon Engineering.
Virgin Red is bringing Americans a fresh way of earning and spending Virgin Points.
Whether it’s by shopping at your favorite stores, staying in Virgin Hotels, or paying your rent, you now have more ways of racking up Virgin Points that you could then convert to a trip of a lifetime.
Signing up is a no-brainer: it’s free, easy, and you can start earning points immediately.
