Recently, we covered the new Bilt Rewards program that allows you to earn transferable points each month on your rent payments — the first program to offer such a service.

When Bilt launched, it also released the details of its Bilt Mastercard that offered tier-based rewards based on your level each month. But admittedly, the previous program was a bit complicated. Now, Bilt has refreshed the card with the 0-1-2-3 launch.

Bilt Card New Reward Rates

With the new Bilt card, you’ll earn 1x point per $1 on all rent payments with no additional transaction fees on up to $100,000 each year, 2x points per $1 on travel purchases, and 3x points on dining purchases (including food delivery services), all for no annual fee!

In order to earn these rewards, you will need to make at least 5 transactions per statement period to earn points on all spend.

Other benefits include cell phone protection, Lyft credits, purchase security, rental car coverage, trip cancellation coverage, trip delay protection, and World Elite concierge service.

New Transfer Partner

Bilt has also announced that it has added IHG One Rewards as a program transfer partner. Other 1:1 Bilt transfer partners include the following:

In addition to travel, you can also redeem your points towards rent or a down payment on a home purchase, fitness classes, and the Bilt Collection, which includes exclusive access to a hand-curated catalog of art, decor, and apparel.

Bilt Elite Status

We’ve also received some details about Bilt’s elite status structure and the benefits offered, which will feature 4 tiers: Blue, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

The number of points needed to qualify for each tier can come from both the points you earn from rent payments and the points you earn from the Bilt card’s other bonus categories, like dining and travel purchases.

Final Thoughts

All in all, the Bilt Rewards program is shaping up to be an excellent rewards option for renters, and it is great to see that it has reduced the complexity of the point-earning on the Bilt card. Better yet, Bilt is adding additional value by adding a new transfer partner and elite status tiers for members to work towards.
