You might be wondering, “How is this a benefit when I can already pay my rent with a credit card?” Usually, paying your rent with a credit card will come with a 2% to 3% fee added on. On a $1,500 rent payment, this fee adds $30 to $45 to your bill.

Cell Phone Protection — Pay your monthly cell phone bill with your Bilt card and you’ll get up to $800 of protection (subject to a $25 deductible) against covered damage or theft.
Primary Rental Car Insurance — Receive coverage for damages due to collision or theft for most rental cars when you pay for the rental car with the Bilt card.
Purchase Protection — Items purchased with your card receive coverage towards theft or damage within the first 90 days from the date of purchase, up to $10,000 per claim.
Trip Delay Insurance — If your flight is delayed by more than 6 hours due to a covered reason like weather delays, you can receive up to $200 in coverage per person, and up to a maximum amount of $1,800 for all covered persons on the same trip, towards expenses like meals and lodging.
Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance — Provides up to $5,000 in coverage of non-refundable fare if your trip is interrupted or canceled for a covered reason, like a health issue, when your pay with your Bilt card.

Best Ways To Earn and Redeem Your Bilt Rewards Points

Unsurprisingly, the best way to earn Bilt Rewards points is by using your Bilt card for all of your purchases, especially those that fall within one of the card’s bonus categories of rent, travel, and dining. However, keep in mind that you need to make 5 transactions with your card each month to be eligible for bonus points — though this should be easy for most.

Additionally, Bilt Rewards also offers a refer-a-friend program where you can earn 25,000 points for every 5 friends who are approved for the card and make their first purchase within the first 30 days.

When it comes to redeeming points, Bilt Rewards offers several options, such as fitness classes, art pieces in The Bilt Collection, and rent credit at a rate of 0.55 cents per point. That said, if you want to get the best value possible, your best option is to redeem your points through one of the Bilt Rewards transfer partners.
