Bilt’s May Rent Day is all about showing your home some love.

If you opt to redeem your points towards rent, you will receive 100% back to use in the Bilt Home Collection. As a bonus, there will be some private dining experiences up for grabs!

The start-up, taking the points world by storm with its no transaction fees, top-tier transfer partners, and no additional transaction fee rent payments, first introduced Rent Day in 2022, which gives its members exciting offers, bonus points, and chances to win prizes to kick start the month.

While points credit cards are often synonymous with travel rewards, Bilt likes to switch up the theme of its Rent Days, with the home being the focus for May’s iteration. This month’s Rent Day may not be particularly exciting for travelers, but it could offer some value to members looking for new decor or a nice meal.

On May 1, Bilt Rewards members will also enjoy double points on non-rent spending, a free SoulCycle ride at over 50 locations nationwide, and the chance at winning bonus points or a month’s rent paid in games exclusive to Bilt, like Point Quest and Rent Free.

Bilt Rent Day: May 2024 Edition

Bilt wants May to be about giving your home some love and your stomach, too!

Since you don’t need to take out a Bilt Card to enjoy Bilt Rent Day, everyone can access the perks by signing up for the free Bilt Rewards account.

However, having the Bilt World Elite Mastercard® Credit Card in your wallet does mean you’ll earn double points on the 1st of the month, excluding rent.

Bilt Home Collection

Between April 25 and May 1, Bilt Members who redeem their points towards rent will receive 100% of those points back, which can be used at the Bilt Home Collection.

Here, you’ll find a collection of handpicked accents and artwork to help make your home more personalized. You’ll need to:

  1. Head to the Pay Rent tab in the Bilt app between April 25 and May 1
  2. Select Pay with Points
  3. Add the amount of points you’d like to redeem towards your rent
  4. Complete your rent redemption and automatically receive the same amount of points back to be used on the Bilt Home Collection

Points earned during this promotion will expire after 6 months.

Bilt Private Dining Experiences

Bilt is back again with its private dining experiences across the country.

These experiences will feature chef tastings, wine pairings, and omakase, in a family-style meal along with fellow Bilt Members.

Experiences will take place in New York, Miami, Seattle, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas, and Boston, with exact locations being announced on Friday, April 26 in the Bilt Rewards app.

Bilt Rewards members can book a reservation for $150 or 15,000 Bilt Points for 2 guests starting on April 26 in the Bilt app:

  • 12 p.m. ET for Platinum members
  • 12:10 p.m. ET for Gold members
  • 12:20 p.m. ET for Silver members
  • 12:30 p.m. ET for Blue members

SoulCycle Rent Day Ride

Rent Day Rides are back on May 1 at 50+ SoulCycle studios across the country. The rides will be a 45-minute, full-body indoor cycling class.

Bilt Rewards members can book a special themed ride via the Bilt app.

You can book your slot starting at 12 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 27.

Additionally, 1 Rent Day rider will have the lucky fortune of having their rent paid (up to $2,500).

Rent Free Game Show

Answer questions correctly for your chance to win free rent! This month’s Rent Free Game Show will feature dancer, singer, and YouTuber, Lele Pons, as the co-host.

You can log into your Bilt app starting Thursday, April 25, at 12 p.m. ET to access the game and play by Wednesday, May 1, at 3 p.m. ET.

The top 10 scoring players will be revealed at 4 p.m. ET and become May’s rent winners, while the next top scoring 600 members will get extra Bilt Points.

Rent Day for Bilt Cardholders

Although the Bilt card has no annual fee, it delivers a solid return on spend:

  • 3x points on dining
  • 2x points on travel
  • 1x points on other purchases (including rent)
  • Use the card 5 times each statement period to earn points

With Rent Day May, cardholders can earn double points on all purchases for 24 hours starting on May 1, 2024, at 12 a.m. ET — up to 10,000 bonus points. This brings earnings to:

  • 6x points on dining
  • 4x points on travel
  • 2x points on other purchases (excluding rent)

This puts the Bilt card at the top of the heap regarding earnings from dining. We value Bilt Rewards points at 1.8 cents apiece, which means you’ll be able to net a 10.8% return on all dining spend on May 1. And don’t forget about Bilt Dining, which can boost earnings up to 16x points per dollar!

In contrast, the American Express® Gold Card earns 4x Membership Rewards points at restaurants, plus takeout and delivery in the U.S. We value these points at 2.2 cents apiece, which means you’d be getting 8.8% back when using the Amex Gold card.

Considering Bilt’s transfer partners, including World of Hyatt and Alaska Airlines, this makes Rent Day a very valuable proposition for cardholders.

Point Quest

Point Quest is also back. This fun trivia game will be available on the Bilt app on May 1, 2024, giving members the chance to earn up to 250 Bilt points.

There will be 5 multiple-choice questions worth 10 to 50 points each, and if you answer them all correctly, you’ll get a sixth bonus question worth 100 points.

Final Thoughts

Bilt Rent Day continues to be a great day to earn and burn some valuable Bilt Rewards points — especially if you are looking for a nice meal or want to spruce up your home.

Don’t forget to register for Rent Free and Point Quest to be in with a chance of some big prizes!
