On the ground, in the air, on the ocean, Bilt’s August Rent Day has something for everyone!

Whether you want to hit the high seas with Virgin Voyages, take to the skies with BLADE, or grab dinner in your neighborhood, you’ll want to watch your Bilt app this Rent Day.

The start-up has taken the points world by storm with its no-annual-fee credit card, top-tier transfer partners, and no additional transaction fee rent payments. Bilt first introduced Rent Day in 2022, which gives its Bilt Rewards members exciting offers, bonus points, and chances to win prizes to kickstart the month.

On August 1, Bilt Rewards members will also enjoy double points on non-rent spending, a free SoulCycle ride at over 50 locations nationwide, and a chance to have their rent paid!

Bilt Rent Day: August 2024 Edition

You don’t need to take out a Bilt World Elite Mastercard® Credit Card to enjoy Bilt Rent Day; everyone can access the perks by signing up for the free Bilt Rewards account. However, having the Bilt card in your wallet does mean you’ll earn double points on the first of the month, excluding rent.

$50 for unlimited food and drinks in Manhattan sounds like a pretty good deal!

Bilt Neighborhood Dining

On Thursday, August 1, Bilt will drop all-inclusive reservations at top restaurants in its Neighborhood Dining program. There will be 27 different restaurants across 12 cities, so be sure to keep an eye on your app.

Reservations start at $75 or 6,000 Bilt Rewards points per person and will be up for grabs on Monday, July 29, at 12 p.m. ET for Platinum members, 12:10 p.m. ET for Gold members, 12:20 p.m. for Silver members, and 12:30 p.m. for Blue members.

SoulCycle Rent Day Ride

You can book your slot starting at 12 p.m. ET on Tuesday, July 30.

Additionally, 1 Rent Day rider will have the lucky fortune of having their rent paid (up to $2,500).

Hot Tip:

If you book but can’t make your ride, be sure to cancel by July 31 at 5 p.m. local time, or you may be charged a $30 cancellation fee.

Rent Free Game Show

Answer questions correctly for your chance to win free rent! This month’s Rent Free Game Show will feature comedian and podcaster Jared Freid as the cohost.

You can log into your Bilt app starting today, July 26, at 12 p.m. ET to access the game and play by Monday, August 1, at 3 p.m. ET.

The top 10 scoring players will be revealed at 4 p.m. ET and become August’s rent winners, while the next top scoring 600 members will get extra Bilt Rewards points.

Rent Day for Bilt Cardholders

Although the Bilt card has no annual fee, it delivers a solid return on spend:

  • 3x points on dining
  • 2x points on travel
  • 1x points on other purchases (including rent)
  • Use the card 5 times each statement period to earn points

With August’s Rent Day, cardholders can earn double points on all purchases for 24 hours starting on August 1 at 12 a.m. ET — up to 10,000 bonus points. This brings earnings to:

  • 6x points on dining
  • 4x points on travel
  • 2x points on other purchases (excluding rent)

This puts the Bilt card at the top of the heap regarding earnings from dining. We value Bilt Rewards points at 1.8 cents apiece, which means you’ll be able to net a 10.8% return on all dining spend on August 1. And don’t forget about Bilt Dining, which can boost earnings up to 16x points per dollar!

In contrast, the American Express® Gold Card earns 4x Membership Rewards points at global restaurants (up to $50,000 annual spending, then 1x thereafter) plus takeout and delivery in the U.S. We value these points at 2.2 cents apiece, which means you’d be getting 8.8% back when using the Amex Gold card.

Considering Bilt’s transfer partners, including World of Hyatt and Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan, this makes Rent Day a very valuable proposition for cardholders.

Final Thoughts

Bilt Rent Day continues to be a great day to earn and burn some valuable Bilt Rewards points — and this month offers some unique travel opportunities in your neighborhood, in the skies, and the high seas!
