October Rent Day: Free Hilton Elite Status, Virgin Voyages, and More

On the ground, in the air, on the ocean — Bilt’s October Rent Day has something for everyone!

Whether you want to hit the high seas with Virgin Voyages, elevate upcoming Hilton stays, or grab dinner in your neighborhood, you’ll want to watch your Bilt app this Rent Day.

The start-up has taken the points world by storm with its no-annual-fee credit card, top-tier transfer partners, and no additional transaction fee rent payments. Bilt first introduced Rent Day in 2022, which gives its Bilt Rewards members exciting offers, bonus points, and chances to win prizes to kickstart the month.

On October 1, Bilt Rewards members will also enjoy double points on non-rent spending (though you need to use the card 5 times each statement period to earn points), a free SoulCycle ride at over 50 locations nationwide, a chance to have their rent paid, and a shot at 500,000 Hilton Honors points!

Bilt Rent Day: October 2024 Edition

You don’t need to take out a Bilt World Elite Mastercard^® to enjoy Bilt Rent Day; everyone can access the perks by signing up for a free Bilt Rewards account. However, having the Bilt Card in your wallet does mean you’ll earn double points on the first of the month, excluding rent. You must use the card 5 times each statement period to earn points (See Rewards & Benefits).

Free Hilton Honors Gold Status

On October 1, 2024, Bilt Rewards members can participate in a status match with Hilton Honors that will grant them Gold elite status through December 31, 2024.

On top of this, there are ways to extend this status further or even level up to top-tier Diamond status:

• Any Bilt Rewards member who stays 8 nights at Hilton properties before December 31, 2024, will be able to keep their Hilton Gold status all the way through March 31, 2026.
• If a Bilt Blue, Silver, or Gold member stays 14 nights at a Hilton before December 31 of this year, they’ll earn Diamond status, which is valid through March 31, 2026.

You can opt-in to the status match via the Bilt Rewards mobile app (iOS, Android) or Bilt’s website between October 1, 2024, at 12 a.m. ET and October 2, 2024, at 2:59 a.m. ET. Terms apply.

Virgin Voyages BOGO and Additional Benefits

For the third month (and final) month, Bilt and Virgin Voyages have teamed up to provide extra benefits on Virgin cruises, including the ability to bring a guest along for free!

From September 26, 2024, at 12:01 a.m. ET to October 2, 2024, at 3 a.m. ET, Bilt members can book eligible Virgin Voyages cruises via the Bilt Rewards app with exclusive benefits, including:

New for this month is a selection of targeted benefits for eligible Bilt Rewards members. If you’re eligible, you’ll see the benefits within your Bilt Rewards mobile app.

Earn 10x on Neighborhood Dining

Earn 10x points per $1 spent on Bilt Neighborhood Dining restaurants when you pay with a linked card between September 26 and October 1, 2024, up to $500 in spending.

Rent Credit Bonus

If you’re a Bilt Rewards member who’s targeted for this promotion, you can score a bonus credit toward your rent when you redeem Bilt Rewards points.

Bonuses will be credited starting at 1,000 Bilt Rewards points redeemed, and the more you redeem, the larger your bonus will be:

Hilton Happy Hours Experience

You can attend Bilt-hosted happy hours at certain Hilton locations across the country. Each happy hour will take place on October 1, 2024, at 6 p.m. The Bilt Rewards app will list the exact locations and pricing. Tickets will be available for purchase at 12 p.m. ET on October 27, 2024, and can be paid for using Bilt Rewards points or any linked card.

Bilt Neighborhood Dining

Bilt will drop all-inclusive reservations at top restaurants in its Neighborhood Dining program. There will be numerous restaurants in various cities, so be sure to keep an eye on your app.

Reservations start at $100 or 5,000 Bilt Rewards points per person and will be up for grabs on September 27, 2024, at 11:50 a.m. ET for Platinum members and 12 p.m. ET for all other members.

SoulCycle Rent Day Ride

Rent Day Rides are back on October 1 at 50+ SoulCycle studios across the country. They are 45-minute, full-body indoor cycling classes.

You can book your slot starting at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday, September 28, 2024, and members can receive a complimentary bike in the themed class when booking directly through the Bilt Rewards app.

Additionally, 1 Rent Day rider will have the lucky fortune of having their rent paid (up to $2,500).

Hot Tip:

If you book but can’t make your ride, be sure to cancel by September 30 at 5 p.m. local time, or you may be charged a $30 cancellation fee.

Rent Free Game Show

Answer questions correctly for your chance to win free rent! This month’s Rent Free Game Show will feature pop culture icon and businesswoman Paris Hilton.

You can log into your Bilt app now to access the game. The top 10 scoring players will be October’s winners and will not only get free rent, but Paris will also be gifting 500,000 Hilton Honors Points! The next top-scoring 600 players will earn extra Bilt Rewards points.

Rent Day for Bilt Cardholders

Although the Bilt Card has a $0 annual fee (rates & fees), it delivers a solid return on spend:

With October’s Rent Day, cardholders can earn double points on all purchases for 24 hours starting on October 1 at 12 a.m. ET — up to 1,000 bonus points. This brings earnings up to:

• 6x points on dining
• 4x points on travel
• 2x points on other purchases (excluding rent)

This puts the Bilt Card at the top of the heap for earning on dining. We value Bilt Rewards points at 1.8 cents apiece, which means you’ll net a 10.8% return on all dining spend on October 1. And don’t forget about Bilt Dining, which can boost earnings up to 16x points per dollar!

In contrast, the American Express^® Gold Card earns 4x Membership Rewards points at global restaurants (up to $50,000 of annual spending, then 1x thereafter) plus takeout and delivery in the U.S. We value Amex Membership Rewards points at 2.2 cents apiece, which means you’d be getting 8.8% back when using the Amex Gold card.
