Dare we say this is the first transfer bonus we’ve seen to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan? Bilt’s July Rent Day is all about its newest airline transfer partner, regarded as one of the best frequent flyer programs in the world.

You can earn up to a 100% transfer bonus to Mileage Plan and participate in a status match, depending on your level of membership.

The start-up, taking the points world by storm with its no annual fee credit card, top-tier transfer partners, and no additional transaction fee rent payments, first introduced Rent Day in 2022, which gives its members exciting offers, bonus points, and chances to win prizes to kick start the month.

On July 1, Bilt Rewards members will also enjoy double points on non-rent spending, a free SoulCycle ride at over 50 locations nationwide, and the chance at winning bonus points or a month’s rent paid in games exclusive to Bilt.

Bilt Rent Day: July 2024 Edition

Since you don’t need to take out a Bilt World Elite Mastercard® Credit Card to enjoy Bilt Rent Day, everyone can access the perks by signing up for the free Bilt Rewards account. However, having the Bilt card in your wallet does mean you’ll earn double points on the first of the month, excluding rent.

Transfer Bonus to Alaska Airlines

On Monday, July 1, 2024, members can earn up to a 100% transfer bonus to Alaska depending on their Bilt Rewards elite status level:

  • Bilt Platinum: 100% bonus
  • Bilt Gold: 75% bonus
  • Bilt Silver: 50% bonus
  • Bilt Blue: 25% bonus

The transfer bonus will last for 1 day only between Monday, July 1, at midnight ET until Tuesday, July 2, at 2:59 a.m. ET. Blue members must transfer a minimum of 2,000 Bilt Rewards points, while elite members can transfer with no minimum. There is a maximum of 50,000 Bilt Rewards points transferred to Alaska (then the standard 1:1 ratio will apply).

Even with the lowest 25% transfer bonus, this is one of the best Rent Day offers we’ve seen for award travel enthusiasts.

Hot Tip:

Although Alaska devalued its frequent flyer program earlier this year, it’s still one of the best for domestic and international partner redemptions. Award flights start at just 4,500 miles one-way with the new program changes — read our guide on ways to redeem Alaska miles for maximum value.

Alaska Airlines Status Match

But wait — there’s more. Between today, June 25, and Monday, July 1, there’s an exclusive status match to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan for top-tier Bilt members.

  • Bilt Platinum members: Match to Alaska MVP Gold status
  • Bilt Gold members: Match to Alaska MVP status

To participate, these Bilt members must transfer 10,000 Bilt Rewards points to Alaska Airlines to see their Alaska elite status, which will be eligible through December 31, 2024. However, transferring 10,000 Bilt Rewards points to Alaska will not count toward the transfer bonus, so don’t expect any bonus miles there.

Hot Tip:

Alaska MVP and MVP Gold members enjoy complimentary upgrades (upon availability), 2 free checked bags, and more!

Bilt Neighborhood Dining

On Monday, July 1, Bilt will drop all-inclusive reservations at top restaurants in its Neighborhood Dining program. The participating cities will include Austin, Boston, Brooklyn, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.

Reservations start at $75 or 6,000 Bilt Rewards points per person and will be up for grabs on Thursday, June 27, at 12 p.m. ET for Platinum members, 12:10 p.m. ET for Gold members, 12:20 p.m. for Silver members, and 12:30 p.m. for Blue members.

SoulCycle Rent Day Ride

Rent Day Rides are back on July 1 at 50+ SoulCycle studios across the country. The rides will be a 45-minute, full-body indoor cycling class.

You can book your slot starting at 12 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 30.

Additionally, 1 Rent Day rider will have the lucky fortune of having their rent paid (up to $2,500).

Rent Free Game Show

Answer questions correctly for your chance to win free rent! This month’s Rent Free Game Show will feature YouTuber Brooklyn Peltz Beckham as the cohost.

You can log into your Bilt app starting today, June 25, at 12 p.m. ET to access the game and play by Monday, July 1, at 3 p.m. ET.

The top 10 scoring players will be revealed at 4 p.m. ET and become July’s rent winners, while the next top scoring 600 members will get extra Bilt Rewards points.

Rent Day for Bilt Cardholders

Although the Bilt card has no annual fee, it delivers a solid return on spend:

  • 3x points on dining
  • 2x points on travel
  • 1x points on other purchases (including rent)
  • Use the card 5 times each statement period to earn points

With July’s Rent Day, cardholders can earn double points on all purchases for 24 hours starting on July 1, 2024, at 12 a.m. ET — up to 10,000 bonus points. This brings earnings to:

  • 6x points on dining
  • 4x points on travel
  • 2x points on other purchases (excluding rent)

This puts the Bilt card at the top of the heap regarding earnings from dining. We value Bilt Rewards points at 1.8 cents apiece, which means you’ll be able to net a 10.8% return on all dining spend on July 1. And don’t forget about Bilt Dining, which can boost earnings up to 16x points per dollar!

In contrast, the American Express® Gold Card earns 4x Membership Rewards points at restaurants worldwide, plus takeout and delivery in the U.S. We value these points at 2.2 cents apiece, which means you’d be getting 8.8% back when using the Amex Gold card.

Considering Bilt’s transfer partners, including World of Hyatt and Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan, this makes Rent Day a very valuable proposition for cardholders.

Point Quest

Point Quest’s final month is here. This will be your last chance to play this fun trivia game, made available on the Bilt app on July 1, giving members the chance to earn up to 250 Bilt Rewards points.

There will be 5 multiple-choice questions worth 10 to 50 points each, and if you answer them all correctly, you’ll get a sixth bonus question worth 100 points.

Final Thoughts

Bilt Rent Day continues to be a great day to earn and burn some valuable Bilt Rewards points — and this is one of the best we’ve seen so far. Don’t forget to register for Rent Free and Point Quest (sadly, the final edition) to be in with a chance of some big prizes!
