What is StubHub?

StubHub is a marketplace for fans to buy and sell tickets. The platform is governed by its FanProtect guarantee, which states that fans will receive their tickets in time for the event and that their orders guarantee a valid ticket for entry.

If there is an issue with your order, StubHub provides comparable or better tickets or gives a refund. However, if your event is canceled and not rescheduled, you receive 120% credit or a full refund.

Bottom Line:

You receive up to $150 in statement credits for purchases made on StubHub and viagogo, applicable to purchases made from January through June and from July through December. You need to activate this benefit before you can use it, and it is available to cardmembers through December 31, 2027.

5 Events to Book With the Chase Sapphire Reserve StubHub Credit

The Chase Sapphire Reserve card StubHub credit can make tickets to some of this year’s most popular events, including March Madness and the FIFA World Cup, more affordable.

1. March Madness NCAA Division I Basketball Tournament

If you’re a college basketball fan — or just want to check out one of the games — consider using your StubHub credit on a March Madness ticket. For instance, you can score a seat at the First Four game at the University of Dayton in Ohio for just $200, which includes all taxes and fees.

Even if you aren’t the biggest basketball fan, March Madness games are electrifying — full of thrills, upsets, and more — and could be a fun solo trip, date, or a night out with family or friends.

2. Prime Seats To See “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” on Broadway

One of the most popular Broadway shows is “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” — and you can see it at a deep discount, thanks to your StubHub credit.

Tickets to see the show start as low as $170, depending on your dates. At that price, your credit would cover most of it! Some of the tickets, depending on your dates, include floor seating so that you can be even closer to the magic.

3. FIFA World Cup Match

There’s been lots of news coverage about how expensive tickets and accommodations are for the FIFA World Cup, which is taking place in several locations, including New York and New Jersey, the San Francisco Bay Area, and other cities across North America.

Some matches are cheaper than others, however, and these are the matches you should use your credit on. We’re seeing tickets for the Norway versus Senegal match priced at around $400 each. While the StubHub credit won’t completely cover the ticket, it will shave off a good chunk of it, leaving more money in your wallet for things like food, drinks, or merch.

4. Floor Seats at the Cardi B Concert

Want to check out superstar rapper Cardi B? Well, with your StubHub credit, you can score great deals on her shows, especially in cities like Portland, Oregon. Tickets start at around $134, which your credit would cover, with some cash leftover to spare.

Want floor seats? They aren’t the cheapest, starting at around $450, but your credit card’s StubHub perk would cover a significant portion, making splurging on better seats worth it.

Hot Tip:

You can use your StubHub credit to buy tickets to concerts like Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles at the Sphere in Las Vegas, Bruno Mars, and more.

5. Rock Out at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival

The Stagecoach Country Music Festival, described as country music’s biggest party, will bring lovers of the genre for a weekend of fun. The festival, which is scheduled for April 24 to 26, 2026, in Indio, California, features acts such as Post Malone, Cody Johnson, and non-country artists like Ludacris and Pitbull. Tickets aren’t cheap, but applying your StubHub credit is a smart way to bring costs down, especially if you’re purchasing a 3-day pass.

Final Thoughts

The Chase Sapphire Reserve card offers a wide range of valuable benefits, including travel and lifestyle perks. One of these benefits is an annual $300 StubHub credit, split into 2 $150 statement credits available for use from January through June and from July through December.

From sports events — even some of the most exciting games — to concerts, shows, and festivals, the $300 StubHub credit is pretty easy to use. Even if you don’t get out much, you should be able to find an event you’re interested in.
