There’s a new welcome bonus offer available for The World of Hyatt Credit Card. You can earn 2 free night certificates and 25,000 bonus points in a tiered bonus offer available through August 28, 2025.

Let’s dive into the details.

World of Hyatt Card Welcome Offer Details

The World of Hyatt card has a new welcome bonus offer for 2 Category 1-4 free night certificates and 25,000 points available through August 28, 2025. There are 2 tiers to this offer:

  • Earn 2 free night certificates valid at World of Hyatt Category 1-4 properties after spending $4,000 within the first 3 months of card opening.
  • Earn 25,000 bonus World of Hyatt points after spending $12,000 within the first 6 months of card opening.

If you can spend $12,000 on the card in 6 months, you’ll earn both components of the welcome offer.

Is This a Good Welcome Offer?

The combination of 2 free nights and bonus points may sound like an incredible deal, but this bonus offer is a mixed bag if we’re being honest.

The World of Hyatt program uses a combination of peak, standard, and off-peak pricing, but the free night certificates can be used even on peak nights, providing up to a value of 18,000 points for a Category 4 property.

If you maximize the certificates and use them at a Category 4 property on peak nights, you can think of the total value of this welcome offer as 61,000 points. We value World of Hyatt points at 1.5 cents apiece, which means you can expect to receive about $915 in value from this welcome bonus offer.

However, this isn’t the best bonus offer we’ve seen for this card in recent times. And, instead of awarding you with a lump sum of points that can be used in any way you please, the majority of this bonus is restricted to Category 1-4 properties. When you have a bunch of points, you have the option of a few nights at high-end properties or lots of nights at lower-tier properties — but these 2 free nights are only worth 2 nights, no matter how cheap of a hotel you’re booking.

On the other hand, if you find a Category 1-4 property you like, you could string together a fairly long vacation with both elements of this welcome offer, depending on the hotel and availability during your travels.

The card also comes with an additional Category 1-4 free night certificate as an annual perk and allows you to earn yet another one after spending $15,000 on the card within a calendar year, meaning you could earn up to 4 free night certificates in your first year of having the card — plus the points from the welcome bonus and your ongoing spend on the card.

Finally, the card also provides 5 elite night credits annually, automatic Discoverist elite status, and the ability to earn 2 elite night credits for every $5,000 spent.

Final Thoughts

This is an interesting new welcome bonus offer for the World of Hyatt card, though it’s not the best we’ve seen. We would be singing a different tune if the free nights involved were the more coveted Category 1-7 certificates.

At any rate, if you’re considering Hyatt for any upcoming travels, apply before it ends on August 28.
