Wyndham Rewards members are getting access to new luxury properties at which they can earn and redeem points, and some of them are in very appealing destinations.

Wyndham announced a partnership with HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts today, November 2, and more than 40 independent luxury hotels will join the Registry Collection Hotels brand by the beginning of 2027.

This new partnership includes boutique hotels in Mykonos, Greece; Malta; Cartagena, Colombia; and Thailand,

Let’s take a look at what this means for Wyndham travelers.

Wyndham Partners With HotelREZ To Add Luxury Hotels

HotelREZ is one of the world’s largest hotel representation companies. Founded in 2004, it assists independent hotels with sales, distribution, and marketing. On the flip side, property owners maintain control of their hotels and brand identities.

The HotelREZ portfolio includes Elegant Hotels of the World, a collection of more than 300 independent luxury and design-focused properties, plus Best Loved Hotels and an overall hotel network of more than 1,500 independent properties.

Under Wyndham‘s new partnership, over 40 Elegant Hotels of the World properties will join Wyndham’s Registry Collection over the next few months. Many of them are small, offering 20 to 50 rooms. These hotels will remain part of Elegant Hotels of the World while also participating in Wyndham Rewards.

Some of the first hotels participating in the partnership include:

  • Rosselli AX Privilege (Valletta, Malta): Set in a restored 17th-century palazzo, it has a Michelin Key and a Michelin-starred restaurant on site.
  • TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao (Koh Yao Noi, Thailand): This adults-only resort sits above Phang Nga Bay and offers private plunge pools.
  • Cinco Quintas Hotel Boutique (Cartagena, Colombia): This is a colonial property inside Cartagena’s walled city that received 1 Michelin Key in 2026.
  • Galgorm Resort (near Belfast, Northern Ireland): This 550-acre resort is best known for its thermal spa and on-site golf course.
  • The TownHouse Mykonos (Mykonos, Greece): An adults-only hotel set in an 18th-century manor house in Mykonos Old Town. The property received a Michelin Key in the 2026 selection.

More hotels will follow after this initial list, depending on brand fit and whether owners want to participate in Wyndham Rewards.

Additionally, Wyndham will give participating Best Loved Hotels properties access to some of its technology and third-party distribution tools later this year.

What Is Registry Collection Hotels?

Registry Collection Hotels is Wyndham’s luxury brand for independent hotels. Rather than forcing every property to mirror the other properties in the collection, hotels keep their own identity while gaining access to Wyndham’s booking channels and loyalty program.

Before this deal, the Registry Collection had more than 30 hotels across 9 countries.

Adding more than 40 hotels to the collection more than double the size of the brand. That’s a big deal for a hotel chain that’s best known for budget and midscale brands like Super 8, Days Inn, and La Quinta.

However, there’s a catch.

All of these new properties currently say you need to call to redeem Wyndham points. You can’t book award nights online yet. Hopefully, that will change once integration is complete.

There’s also the pricing question once award bookings go live.

Wyndham Rewards moved from 3 award tiers to 4 on September 15, 2026, with free nights costing 5,000, 15,000, 30,000, or 45,000 points. The top tier was designed for a small number of premium luxury and all-inclusive properties, so it’s likely these HotelREZ properties will cost 45,000 points per night. Wyndham hasn’t confirmed pricing for any of the new hotels, so we’ll provide updates if anything changes.

At 45,000 points per night, the value for using points will depend heavily on the cash rate. A small luxury hotel in Mykonos during the summer can easily cost hundreds of dollars per night. Using that number, a points booking could become a strong redemption. A cheaper off-season night might not be worth 45,000 points.

Bottom Line:

For the time being, you need to call Wyndham to book these hotels with points, and you’d likely pay top-tier pricing of 45,000 points per night.

Final Thoughts

Wyndham Rewards has long offered great value at inexpensive hotels, and luxury options have been limited. Wyndham has been synonymous with budget hotels, but it’s working to change that perception.

This partnership is part of that effort. Places like The TownHouse Mykonos and Rosselli AX Privilege are far from a typical Wyndham property, and they give members luxury destinations for a points-booking splurge.

Still, phone-only award bookings and the expectation for 45,000-point award rates mean these won’t be cheap redemptions that you can book online — at least not for now. Compare the cash rate before you call, and make sure the points cost makes sense for your dates by comparing to the cash rate.
