My sister and I recently traveled from Washington state to Niagara Falls, New York. We stayed in at least 16 hotels on the journey, 6 were Wyndham Properties. In all but 1 hotel we stayed in the toilet seats were not secure, in some, the shower curtain was either falling off the wall or loose. One suite we were in you close the bedroom door and someone had spilled some liquid all down the back of the door (which was dry and dirty). At the next hotel, we found 3 white garbage bags with garbage in the closet, curtains in some rooms were torn and didn’t hang straight (together), half-eaten cookie under the corner of the bed in another room. I do understand the shortage of workers but to rent out unclean or not properly maintained rooms is shameful. You shouldn’t rent out rooms that are not properly cleaned or maintained.
The staff was cordial and pleasant except for one place in Montana where the lady manning the front desk must not have slept the night before or she needs some further training on how to treat the public. Everyone else was more than helpful, they would call around town attempting to find a room for us or checked prices for us, more than helpful.
