Key Takeaways

  • You can earn benefits, including discounts, priority services, specialty dining, and a complimentary 7-day cruise at the highest level with Norwegian’s Latitudes Rewards program.
  • With each night you sail on Norwegian Cruise Line, you can earn points, and there are opportunities for bonus points.
  • Your Latitudes Rewards status is recognized when you cruise with Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas, so you can get benefits with Norwegian’s sister cruise lines.

Norwegian Cruise Line offers a straightforward loyalty program, Latitudes Rewards, which provides perks to repeat cruisers on every sailing. Members of the program can earn points with each night on board, unlocking benefits including discounts, onboard perks, and priority services.

You’re automatically enrolled in Latitudes Rewards after your first sailing, and you can earn points for each night you cruise. There are opportunities to earn bonus points with qualifying suites or Insider Offers. The more points you earn, the higher your tier, with increasingly valuable benefits ranging from onboard discounts to complimentary laundry and specialty dining. Top-tier Latitudes Rewards members can earn a free cruise.

Let’s take a look at how Latitudes Rewards works and what you can expect at each tier.

Latitudes Rewards

Latitudes Rewards is Norwegian Cruise Line‘s loyalty program, and you’re automatically enrolled after you complete your first sailing. Then you can start earning points and take advantage of member perks, including discounts and members-only experiences.

With Latitudes Rewards, you earn points for every night you sail, and can boost your earnings by booking particular cabins or by using promotions. Rewards perks include discounts, complimentary laundry services, specialty dinners, and complimentary cruises.

How To Earn Latitudes Points

Your Latitudes tier depends on how many points you’ve earned with Norwegian’s per-night structure, but you can earn extra points.

These are all the ways you can earn points:

  • Earn 1 point per cruise night. For example, a 3-night cruise earns 3 points, and a 7-night cruise earns 7.
  • Get an additional 1 point per night for qualifying suites and The Haven. A 7-night cruise in a qualifying suite or The Haven would earn 14 points.
  • Book using Insider Offers on members-only sailings and possibly get 1 extra point per night. If you stack with a qualifying suite or The Haven, a 7-night cruise could earn 21 points.

Keep Track of Your Points

You can view your Latitudes Rewards membership information in your Norwegian Cruise Line account.

In your profile, you can see your tier level, rewards number, and rewards points. Click on Latitudes Rewards to see your rewards overview, including your cruise history and tier benefits.

Latitudes Rewards Membership Benefits [Program Levels]

Your Latitudes Rewards membership benefits depend on your tier in the program, which is calculated by the number of points you’ve earned. There are 7 membership levels in the Latitudes Rewards program.

Latitudes Rewards Partner Benefits

As a member of Latitudes Rewards, you can take advantage of partner benefits for additional savings.

Loyalty Status Honoring With Oceania and Regent

Norwegian Cruise Line is part of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH), which also includes Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas. With the Loyalty Status Honoring Program, you can match your Latitudes Rewards tier to an equivalent tier on Oceania and Regent sailings. That offers similar benefits on sister-brand cruises.

It’s not a permanent status match, and it only applies for the duration of that sailing. However, this is a great way to access additional perks when sailing with these cruise lines.

Caesars Rewards Discounts

Caesars Rewards members can save up to 30% on cruises with Norwegian Cruise Line. The discounts on cruise fares vary by tier level.

Hot Tip:

Cruising with a crew? Norwegian Cruise Line is one of the best cruise lines for families.

Book Your Norwegian Cruise

Booking a Norwegian cruise can be a significant travel expense. Choosing a payment method that maximizes your benefits can help you get more value from your purchase. Norwegian has a co-branded credit card, but you can typically get more value and benefits by using a card with flexible travel rewards and travel benefits.

The Norwegian Cruise Line® World Mastercard® has no annual fee and earns 3x points on Norwegian purchases, 2x points on eligible air and hotel purchases, and 1x points on all other purchases. New cardholders can be eligible for a welcome bonus offer of points after meeting a minimum spending requirement.

Although the rewards and bonus offer are tempting, they lack flexibility and can only be used with Norwegian Cruise Line. Additionally, the card’s benefits are minimal and lack travel protections, such as trip cancellation and interruption benefits, which can offer reimbursement for nonrefundable expenses if you need to cancel or cut your trip short.

A flexible travel rewards card, such as the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, can offer greater rewards and benefits. You can earn Chase Ultimate Rewards points that are redeemable through the Chase Travel portal and can be transferred to Chase transfer partners, which typically offer the best redemption value. You can even book a Norwegian cruise with points. The Chase Sapphire Preferred card offers a variety of benefits, including travel protections such as trip cancellation and interruption coverage.

Final Thoughts

With a straightforward and easy-to-understand tier structure, Norwegian’s Latitudes Rewards program allows you to take advantage of benefits every time you sail with the cruise line. Though perks start small, they quickly build depending on how many nights you sail with Norwegian.

Some of the best perks include priority access, laundry, discounts, and onboard experiences. The upper tiers in particular offer standout value for frequent Norwegian Cruise Line guests, especially if you enjoy itineraries of 5 nights or more. There’s additional value if you cruise with Oceania Cruises or Regent Seven Seas, as Latitudes Rewards status is recognized with those cruise lines, too.
