A trip to Fiji as a Marriott Bonvoy loyalist is more reasonable than one might expect. With 4 Marriott resorts currently open and another under renovation, paradise can be as close as a credit card sign-up bonus away.

After visiting these resorts in March 2026, I was left with lasting impressions of Fiji’s culture, food, and hospitality. I’ll compare each resort to help you decide which might suit your travel style best.

Marriott Resorts in Fiji: An Overview

Marriott has 4 resorts open in Fiji and another expected to reopen later this year:

Here’s a quick comparison of each resort:

The Westin Fiji Golf Resort & Spa

With the highest cash rates, I assume the renovated resort will attract those after a high-end experience!

*Rates reflect an audit of May 2026 to January 2027 prices.

Some resorts may offer all-inclusive packages with meals, drinks, and nonmotorized watersports.

Hot Tip:

The lowest nightly rates were available from November 2026 to March 2027, excluding the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s holiday weeks.

Each resort offers at least 1 pool, a beach, access to a spa and kids club, and several dining options. Across my 1-week trip in March 2026, I spent 2 nights each at 3 of the Marriott resorts, which gave me a broader view of what Fiji has to offer.

Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay Review

My Fiji Airways flight from Dallas arrived just before sunrise, and I was excited to have a full first day at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay. During my visit, I loved exploring the resort and its manmade lagoon, and I kept busy with cultural activities, a sustainability project, and a cooking class.

Upon arrival at the airport, the Marriott Bonvoy Lounge is just outside of baggage claim. Grab a refreshment, make arrangements regarding your stay for any of the 5 properties, and have a place to rest before your transfer.

Hot Tip:

The hotel is about 45 minutes south of the airport and somewhat remote — expect to be resort-bound.

Rooms

Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay has the first adults-only overwater bures (a traditional wood and straw hut) on Fiji’s main island. For the most privacy, consider an oceanfront bure facing away from the resort. Base-level rooms have a view of the lagoon.

Amenities

The resort has 3 pools: a main pool near the beach, a family pool, and an adults-only sunset infinity pool. The primary beach has loungers and umbrellas, and another beach is used for watersports.

I enjoyed activities throughout my visit, such as a village tour, feeding the fish, and walking the grounds. My room was near the kids club, which had an indoor and outdoor play area. I was also near the spa, where I had an all-too-brief massage and got a peek at the private plunge pool that couples-massage guests have access to.

Dining

The resort has 3 main restaurants, 2 bars, and a deli cafe. Private dining experiences can be arranged, such as a secluded oceanfront breakfast picnic. At Fish Bar, I enjoyed a special “salt” menu that paired local flavored salts with a multicourse menu. I enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Goji Kitchen & Bar.

Why Stay at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay?

Whether you seek a private villa or a unique overwater bungalow, you’ll find both at Momi Bay. The lagoon wildlife is abundant, and I loved watching the fish, sea urchins, and starfish.

Sheraton Resort & Spa, Tokoriki Island, Fiji Review

Guests typically arrive at this remote resort via a public ferry (1 hour and 45 minutes from Port Denarau on South Sea Cruises, $88 each way). My stay included oceanfront dining, cultural activities, and sunset cocktails on a helipad (pinch me!).

Rooms

Of the available room types, the rooms themselves were very similar, but it was the privacy of their patios that set them apart. The oceanfront guest rooms with plunge pools were the most exclusive, but the oceanfront rooms without the private pool had the same gorgeous view. I stayed in an ocean-view guest room with a patio along the walkway between rooms.

Amenities

The resort has 1 primary pool, though it’s large enough to avoid crowding. Daily activities included a kava ceremony, palm fan-making, bikes, indoor games, farm tours, minigolf, and a kids club. The fitness center was under renovation, but I was able to enjoy a heated shell massage at the spa in a private bure.

My favorite activities were on the water. The island has an incredible reef that you can swim to or be towed to by a Jet Ski. The snorkeling here was absolutely vibrant (Fiji is known as the “Soft Coral Capital of the World”). I also hopped on the back of a Jet Ski for a quick tour, and heard many guests praise the Jet Ski snorkel safari.

Dining

The resort has 3 primary dining outlets. I enjoyed a thali-style dinner at Curcuma, the Indian restaurant, while the remainder of my meals were at Waitui House Restaurant. I loved the kokoda, a Fijian-style ceviche, and all of the fresh seafood. I also enjoyed a special, private happy hour on the helipad for the best sunset views.

Why Stay at Sheraton Resort & Spa, Tokoriki Island, Fiji?

If you want to feel like you’re part of the cast of “Survivor” or “Castaway,” both filmed nearby, you’ll get that remote-island vibe with all the luxuries of a full-service resort. The snorkeling here was phenomenal, and I regret not spending more time in the water!

Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort Review

This resort was impressive, and I enjoyed the fire-dancing show, tour of the Sheraton’s farm, a beachfront cabana, afternoon tea, and the driving range.

Denarau Island offers the most flexibility for those who like to resort or restaurant hop, and the local Bula Bus makes navigating the area without a car easy.

Rooms

Fresh from a 2022 renovation, the contemporary room was my favorite. Funky fixtures and art, unique furniture choices, and a well-designed bathroom made this a fun room to return to each night. I loved the lush view out to the lawn and ocean.

Amenities

The cluster of 3 Marriott resorts in Denarau made it easy to enjoy amenities across the properties. The primary pool was always packed with families, while the adults-only pool was more subdued. The beach had great cabanas available for rent, making it easy to laze the day away. Nearby were hammocks, a beach volleyball court, and the kids club. I enjoyed the fire-dancing show, as well as a trip to the Sheraton Fiji Farm, which supplies ingredients for the resort’s restaurants.

Dining

Dining here was a treat. The Mexican-inspired menu at Tatavu, paired with some incredible grilled mains, was a delight. I experienced a unique afternoon tea at Cellar & Barrel. And the buffet at Island 619, for both breakfast and dinner, was outrageous in terms of its size and scope.

Why Stay at Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort?

This felt like a mega-resort, but it was really an easy place to start or finish a Fijian holiday.

Sheraton Denarau Villas Review

Positioned between Sheraton Fiji and The Westin, Sheraton Denarau Villas is ideal for larger groups or those wanting more space, as all villas have 2 or 3 bedrooms.

Rooms

With balconies for days, rooms can accommodate 6 to 8 guests and have a kitchen, dining room, living room, and a washer and dryer.

Amenities

The resort’s primary pool runs through the center of the villas, with an infinity pool at the water’s edge.

Dining

Wet Edge is the property’s only restaurant, where I ate my way through its Asian-centric menu next to the infinity pool.

Why Stay at Sheraton Denarau Villas?

Families, multi-generational groups, and friend groups will be right at home in the 2- or 3-bedroom villas.

Sheraton Denarau Villas near lilypads

The Westin Fiji Golf Resort & Spa (Open November 2026)

The Westin was under refurbishment and expected to reopen in November 2026. The fitness center and spa were open and served all 3 Marriott resorts in Denarau. The massage at Heavenly Spa was hands-down my favorite of the spas I visited on my trip. The massage table was in an open-air bure overlooking a pond covered with water lilies. 100% heavenly.

Final Thoughts

While Fiji is easier to get to than other tropical destinations, it’s not without effort. If you’re a Marriott loyalist, you have 5 Fijian resorts to choose from, but don’t settle for 1: consider splitting your stay between several resorts to get the most from your vacation.
