If you have ever searched for a list of open Hyatt club lounges, you know it’s an exercise in frustration.

Hyatt doesn’t publish a list of open club lounges, so it’s challenging to determine which hotels actually have one. Since many lounges closed permanently during the COVID-19 lockdown era, finding an open lounge isn’t as easy as it used to be. This has made those Hyatt Club Access Awards much more complicated to use, making them arguably almost worthless.

That’s what prompted us to write this post. We wanted to see an up-to-date list of open Hyatt club lounges in the U.S. (including Regency Clubs and Grand Hyatt Clubs) to make it easier for you to use your Hyatt Club Access Awards.

Let’s dive in.

What Hyatt Hotels Have Club Lounges?

Hyatt’s Club Access Awards can be used at select Hyatt Regency and Grand Hyatt club lounges. These are the only 2 brands within Hyatt’s portfolio that accept Club Access Awards.

Some other Hyatt brands, including Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara, may have club lounges, but Club Access Awards aren’t accepted.

If you intend to book a hotel that has a club lounge, we suggest you call ahead of time to double-check the opening hours. This information is not posted, and after contacting each hotel directly, we found that multiple lounges were arbitrarily closed. Some locations told us they provide breakfast vouchers when the lounge is closed, while others don’t.

Hyatt Globalist members get access to club lounges even if they don’t apply a Hyatt Club Access Award.

Bottom Line:

Hyatt Club Access Awards can be used at select Hyatt Regency and Grand Hyatt hotels when you book at an eligible rate (not including nights booked with free night certificates).

How To Earn Hyatt Club Access Awards

Hyatt Club Access Awards are earned from Hyatt’s Milestone Rewards program. You can choose 2 club access awards at each of the following levels:

  • 20 qualifying nights or 35,000 base points
  • 30 qualifying nights or 50,000 base points

Club lounges provide complimentary breakfast and often have snacks and drinks throughout the day. Some lounges even offer evening appetizers that can be enough for dinner.

However, there’s another way to access club lounges at Hyatt hotels: You can book a room that provides club access. This option is often available when you use World of Hyatt points in addition to a regular cash booking.

Bottom Line:

You can access a Hyatt club lounge by booking a club access room or by using a Hyatt Club Access Award. You earn that by staying 20 nights or earning 35,000 base points, or staying 30 nights or earning 50,000 base points in a calendar year.

How To Use Hyatt Club Access Awards

You can find any Hyatt Club Access Awards you’ve earned in your online account by navigating to the Awards section.

To use a Club Access Award earned through the Hyatt Milestone Rewards program, you first need to make a reservation at a hotel that has a Regency Club or a Grand Hyatt Club.

Then you need to call Hyatt at 888-944-9288 or 402-952-1125 to apply the Club Access Award. You can also contact Hyatt Concierge via X (formerly Twitter) to request that your Club Access Award be applied to an upcoming reservation.

You can apply Hyatt Club Access Awards to reservations made with cash or World of Hyatt points, but you can’t apply them to reservations booked with free night certificates.

If you’re traveling with a group, you can apply your Club Access Awards to additional rooms on your reservation. This is a great way to share this benefit with friends and family.

Final Thoughts

Figuring out where you can use your Hyatt Club Access Awards can be a frustrating part of the World of Hyatt program. Since many of the lounges that closed during the pandemic haven’t reopened, there aren’t as many Hyatt Regency Clubs and Grand Hyatt Clubs as there used to be.

However, when you can find an open Hyatt club lounge, it’s a great perk to have since you get complimentary breakfast and even snacks throughout the day at some locations.
