Spending time at an all-inclusive resort is a favorite type of vacation for many travelers. Not having to worry about who’s paying for dinner or how much drinks cost brings a new level of relaxation to any tropical getaway.
However, you may have noticed that most of the hotels and resorts we talk about aren’t all-inclusive. That’s because traditionally, all-inclusive resorts haven’t been a part of hotel loyalty programs. But all hope is not lost because Hyatt actually has 3 brands of all-inclusive resorts that you can book with your World of Hyatt points!
In this post, we’re going to talk about Hyatt Zilara resorts. These are adults-only all-inclusive resorts located in Mexico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. At these resorts, all of your food, drinks, and activities are included in your room rate, so you don’t have to open your wallet while you’re on vacation if you don’t want to.
We’ll show you what you can expect at all 3 Hyatt Zilara locations and how you can book these resorts using World of Hyatt points.
What Is Hyatt Zilara?
Hyatt Zilara is an adults-only all-inclusive brand within the Hyatt portfolio. These resorts for those 18 years of age and older are traditional all-inclusive properties where just about everything is included in the room rate, including food and drinks. Even better, though, is that you can book Hyatt Zilara properties using World of Hyatt points!
While all of the Hyatt Zilara resorts are unique, there are some amenities you’ll be able to count on at all locations:
- Food and beverages (including alcoholic drinks) are included
- Most activities, including water sports, are included
- Multiple pools
- Nightly live entertainment
- Fitness center
- Spa facilities (for an additional charge)
- No resort fees
There are 2 other Hyatt all-inclusive brands — Hyatt Ziva and Miraval. Hyatt Ziva properties are very similar to Zilara, but they’re family-friendly. Miraval Resorts are exclusively for adults and are wellness-focused properties.
How To Use Hyatt Points To Book Hyatt Zilara Resorts
The process of booking a Hyatt Zilara resort with points is the same as booking any other Hyatt hotel with points, except for one detail — the number of people traveling.
Since Hyatt Zilara resorts are all-inclusive, the price is based on the number of people staying in the room, so it’s important you enter this information correctly regardless of whether you’re paying the cash rate or using World of Hyatt points.
When booking a Hyatt Zilara property, it’s important to correctly enter the number of people who will be staying in the room. Image Credit: HyattWhen you’re paying in points, the cost is based on double occupancy, meaning you’ll pay the same price whether there are 1 or 2 people in the room. If you’re paying the cash rate, the cost for 1 person will be less than the cost for 2 people.
If you’re planning on having 3 or 4 adults in 1 room, you’ll have a harder time finding award availability. During our research for this post, we only found award nights for 3 or 4 people at 1 resort: Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall. The other 2 Hyatt Zilara locations only allowed points bookings for 1 or 2 people.
You could, however, use points to upgrade your room to a suite at all 3 locations.
Hyatt Zilara Award Chart
Here is what award nights will look like at the Hyatt Zilara properties:
Hotel Category | Off-Peak | Standard | Peak |
Standard Room | 21,000 | 25,000 | 29,000 |
Extra Person | 10,500 | 12,500 | 14,500 |
Standard Suite | 35,000 | 40,000 | 45,000 |
Extra Person | 10,500 | 12,500 | 14,500 |
All room and suite rates are for single or double occupancy. Additional points per night are required for each additional guest (with a maximum of 4 people per room).
Hot Tip: Hyatt Zilara resorts don’t charge a resort fee. The price you see, whether in points or cash, is the price you’ll pay.

Hyatt Zilara Locations
There are 3 Hyatt Zilara locations across Mexico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. Let’s take a closer look at all 3 of these resorts to see what they offer — and how to book them using points.
The costs listed here are averages based on double occupancy prices throughout the year. Each resort’s peak, standard, and off-peak prices in points are listed, but we calculated the cent-per-point values using the standard award cost.
These values are examples of what you can expect to get, but you can get a higher (or lower) value depending on your specific travel dates. For reference, we value World of Hyatt points at about 1.5 cents each, so to maximize your points, focus on redemptions where the points value is higher than 1.5.
