Mattress Firm Card: Is It Worth It?

The Mattress Firm card is designed for Mattress Firm shoppers who want to take advantage of promotional financing on a mattress purchase. It has no annual fee and offers financing from 6 to 72 months, making it an option for spreading out payments if you pay on time.

Although this card allows you to pay off your mattress purchase interest-free, the penalties may be steep if you don’t pay your full balance within the promotional financing period. The card offers deferred interest financing for some purchases, which means you’ll be charged all accrued interest from the purchase date if you don’t pay the balance in full before the promotional period expires.

Mattress Firm Card Top Benefits and Perks

Long Promotional Financing Options

The extensive financing offers are this card’s most significant advantage. You can choose from 6, 12, or 24 months of deferred-interest financing, or 36 to 72 months of 0% APR with equal monthly payments for qualifying purchase amounts.

Check to see if there are any limited-time offers to earn cash-back tied to a special financing offer.

No Annual Fee

You don’t pay an annual fee to carry the card, so it’s helpful if you only need it for the financing promotion.

Prequalification

You can check your eligibility with prequalification, which doesn’t affect your credit. You only get a hard credit inquiry if you decide to submit a full application.

Hot Tip:

Hard inquiries can lower your credit score, so try to limit the number of new credit cards you apply for during a short time period.

Alternative Cards to the Mattress Firm Card

Wells Fargo Reflect® Card

If you’re looking for a lengthy 0% APR offer, the Wells Fargo Reflect card has a 0% introductory APR for 21 months on purchases and has no annual fee.

Chase Freedom Unlimited®

The Freedom Unlimited card’s 0% introductory APR on purchases and balance transfers is only 15 months, but it also offers the following welcome offer:

  • Earn a $300 Bonus after you spend $500 in your first 3 months from account opening. Offer ends 9AM EST on 1/15/26.

You can also earn at least 1.5% cash-back on every purchase, so you can use cash-back rewards to offset some of the cost of your mattress purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can you use the Mattress Firm card?

The Mattress Firm card isn’t widely accepted. You can only use your Mattress Firm card for purchases where Synchrony HOME credit cards are accepted, which includes the Mattress Firm.

What financing offers are available with the Mattress Firm card?

There are 3 options for financing with the Mattress Firm card:

  • Deferred-interest financing for 6, 12, or 24 months
  • 24 months special financing with a 3% back rebate available through January 27, 2026
  • 0% interest for 36, 48, 60, or 72 months with equal monthly payments

All financing offers are subject to minimum purchase requirements and offer prequalification with a soft credit check.

Is there an annual fee for the Mattress Firm card?

There’s no annual fee for the Mattress Firm card.

What happens if you don't pay your Mattress Firm card promotional balance in time?

If you don’t pay the entire promotional balance on a deferred-interest promotion, you’ll be charged interest retroactively from the purchase date at the card’s standard APR. It doesn’t matter if you’ve paid all but $100 of your balance; if there’s anything left to pay, interest for the full purchase will apply.

On equal-payment plans of 36 to 72 months, your promotional terms may end early if you miss a payment, and your future balance will accrue interest at the regular APR.

Does the Mattress Firm card help build credit?

Yes, your account activity on the Mattress Firm card is reported to all 3 major credit bureaus. You can build a positive payment history by making on-time payments on your card. If you miss payments or carry high balances, it can negatively affect your credit score, so you should only use the card for promotional financing you can reliably pay off.
