So whether you want to put those points toward flights to Greece, several hotel nights on islands like Santorini, or maybe a combination of both, here are a few ideas to consider.

1. Book 2 Round-Trip Flights to Greece

International flights are often the most expensive part of any trip, but 100,000 points can go a long way toward that, so you can free up your budget for special experiences when you land.

Chase Ultimate Rewards points transfer to all of its airline partners at a 1:1 ratio, so 100,000 points can turn into 100,000 eligible airline miles with any of the participants.

Since virtually all trips to Greece start in Athens, you can book 2 round-trip tickets on Delta’s nonstop flight from Boston (BOS) or New York (JFK) to Athens (ATH) for exactly 120,000 points and around $200 in taxes and fees.

Although Delta isn’t a direct Chase transfer partner, you can still use Chase points to book Delta-operated flights by transferring them to partner programs Virgin Atlantic Flying Club or Air France-KLM Flying Blue.

One of the best sweet spots is through Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, which charges just 30,000 points plus $5.60 in taxes and fees for a one-way Delta flight to Athens. Better yet, Chase periodically offers transfer bonuses to Virgin Atlantic, sometimes as high as 40%.

If you can take advantage of one of those promotions, those same 2 round-trip tickets could cost as few as 86,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points, leaving you with thousands of points to spare.

2. Book 4 Nights in Santorini

World of Hyatt remains Chase’s most valuable transfer partner, even though it’s now the only partner that no longer transfers at a standard 1:1 ratio. (Eligible new Chase Sapphire Preferred cardholders now get a 4:3 transfer ratio to Hyatt, while existing cardholders who opened their accounts before June 15, 2026, can still transfer 1:1 but move to that same ratio beginning October 1, 2026.)

Though the math isn’t as clean as it was before, 120,000 points still yield 90,000 points to Hyatt. And since World of Hyatt’s points rates are some of the most affordable of any hotel program, that’s still a great deal for a trip to Greece.

You could transfer 107,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points to World of Hyatt and use them to book 4 nights at Magma Resort Santorini, a stunning luxury property with just 59 guest rooms.

With award rates starting at 20,000 Hyatt points per night, this redemption could help you avoid paying more than $400 per night in cash. Even better, a daily breakfast buffet is included for all guests.

3. Splurge on Round-Trip Business Class Flights

This final strategy requires a bit more planning than simply applying for 1 card, but it can be well worth the effort if you’re hoping to splurge on a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

One of the best points strategies for couples is for both partners to apply for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card. At a $95 annual fee per card, it’s an affordable way to earn a substantial amount of points, and the card offers plenty of ongoing value and benefits to help justify the cost.

If both partners qualify for the credit card and meet the spending requirement, you earn a combined 200,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points from the welcome offers alone. If you’re planning your trip many months in advance, you also have plenty of time to earn even more points through everyday spending.

One of the biggest advantages of Chase Ultimate Rewards is that members of the same household can combine their points into a single account. Pooling your rewards makes it much easier to book flights or hotel stays together and maximize the value of your points.

Out of all of the Chase transfer partners, Air Canada Aeroplan has the best points rates for business class flights to Europe. Even though business class rates are much pricier, that once-in-a-lifetime experience may be worth it for a really special trip. For example, a one-way ticket from Newark (EWR) to Athens with a day layover in Zurich (ZRH) — for 75,000 points in SWISS business class:

Of course, that means it’d cost 150,000 points to book round-trip tickets for each person (but perhaps less with a transfer bonus). Even so, this isn’t such a lofty goal once you consider the 100,000-point bonus offer, plus diligently saving up more points over the months.
