Creating a website, blog, or online shopping platform for your small business can be $150 cheaper now, thanks to a new benefit added to the American Express® Business Gold Card.

Cardholders can now enroll in a new, ongoing benefit with Squarespace, offering up to $150 in annual statement credits for spending with Squarespace.

What is Squarespace, and how does the benefit work? We’re glad you asked.

What Is Squarespace?

Squarespace is a website-building platform known for its easy-to-use tools that don’t require any technical or coding knowledge. Instead, customers can build websites, blogs, portfolios, and even e-commerce platforms through the simple options available.

Squarespace offers multiple pricing plans, ranging from $16 to $99 per month, for its users.

Amex Business Gold Card Adds Annual Squarespace Credit

Without increasing its $375 annual fee (rates & fees), the Amex Business Gold card is adding a new perk to help offset Squarespace costs for cardholders.

As of October 23, 2025, cardholders can enjoy up to $150 in statement credits toward U.S. purchases with Squarespace, available after enrolling in this benefit.

Luckily, this benefit is not divided into smaller pieces or monthly increments. That means you can use your Amex Business Gold card to pay for Squarespace plans monthly or annually, whichever you prefer, and receive statement credits on your account up to the $150 annual maximum.

Other Benefits of the Amex Business Gold Card

This new Squarespace credit joins the Amex Business Gold card’s ongoing list of benefits, including the following statement credits:

  • Up to $240 business spending credit: Available as up to $20 monthly with FedEx, Grubhub, and office supply stores upon enrollment.
  • Walmart+ benefit: Pay with your card and receive a credit of $12.95 (plus applicable taxes) against the monthly Walmart+ fee.

Plus, cardholders can earn Membership Rewards points rather handsomely with the Amex Business Gold card:

  • Earn 4 points per $1 spent on your top 2 eligible categories each billing cycle, up to $150,000 in annual spending, then 1x, across these eligible categories:
    • Purchases at US media providers for advertising in select media, including online, TV, and radio
    • U.S. purchases made from electronic goods retailers and software and cloud system providers
    • U.S. purchases at restaurants, including takeout and delivery
    • U.S. purchases at gas stations
    • Transit purchases, including trains, taxicabs, rideshare services, ferries, tolls, parking, buses, and subways
    • Monthly wireless telephone service charges made directly from a wireless telephone service provider in the U.S.
  • 3 points per $1 spent on flights and prepaid hotels booked on AmexTravel.com
  • 1 point per $1 spent on other eligible purchases

Hot Tip: Check to see if you’re eligible for a welcome bonus offer of up to 200,000 points with the Amex Business Gold card. The current public offer is 100,000 points. (This targeted offer was independently researched and may not be available to all applicants.)

Final Thoughts

Those with the Amex Business Gold card have gained another benefit without the card’s annual fee increasing. That’s always good news.

Not every small business owner needs a website, obviously. Those who are interested should explore the plans available from Squarespace to determine if they can meet their needs. If so, the Amex Business Gold card could help you save $150 annually against the cost of building and maintaining your web presence.
