We may be compensated when you click on product links, such as credit cards, from one or more of our advertising partners. Terms apply to the offers below. Update: The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

There’s a new Amex Offer out allowing you to save on shipping services with UPS. While the offer does have some exclusions, when used correctly, you can save 30% up to $100 … a nice savings just in time for the holiday shipping season.

The Offer

For this offer, when added to your card, you can get 30% back as a statement credit when you pay for shipping at UPS’s online website. You can receive up to $100 back, which would mean approximately $330 in total shipments. The offer allows you to make 1 or more purchases, so you don’t need to purchase everything in 1 sitting. You have until December 31, 2022, to make all of your purchases to qualify under this offer.

Exclusions

There are some important exclusions under this offer you should be aware of. Purchases at The UPS Store, UPS Access Point, UPS Access Point Locker, UPS Drop Box locations, and Retail Chains do not count for this offer. This means that driving to your local UPS Store and paying for shipping there would not qualify you under this offer, but if you pay for the shipping costs on UPS’s website, it would. It’s important to understand the differences so you can ensure you meet all of the eligibility requirements.

Hot Tip: Even though you need to purchase the shipments online, you can still drop them off at any UPS Store.

Adding This Offer to Your Card

To add this Amex Offer to your card, simply visit the Amex app or website and go to the Offers section for each one of your cards. You can see if you were targeted if the offer is present, then click Add to Card. It’s worth noting that you can only add the offer once per account, so even though it may be available on multiple cards, you can only add it to 1 (check out our guide to the best business credit cards for shipping purchases to make sure that you’re maximizing your return).

You’ll also want to see if you were also targeted to save on shipping costs at FedEx!

How To Maximize This Offer

You might consider using this offer for:

  • Business purchases where you have to ship items
  • Shipment of Christmas presents in December
  • Returns of goods where return shipment isn’t covered

Final Thoughts

This is a hefty discount on shipping purchases through UPS. While you need to purchase the shipping online, this is a relatively easy process and is certainly worth the significant savings you’ll receive.
