The Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal has been one of Hilton’s most talked-about luxury openings of 2025. With cliffside views of the Sea of Cortez, private plunge pools in every room, and a location just minutes from Los Cabos International Airport, it quickly became one of the most desirable resorts in Hilton’s portfolio, and it’s sure to be even more popular when it reopens after a new renovation.

Here’s the kicker: Even with the inflated 250,000-point cost from Hilton’s recent devaluation, award nights are wide open from November through summer 2026, with only a few gaps around the holidays and mid-February.

Here’s how you can lock in this high-end escape using Hilton points or free night certificates.

Award Deal — Details

The Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is an intimate, ultra-luxury resort with fewer than 100 rooms and suites, all designed for privacy and comfort. Its setting combines seclusion with easy access. It’s less than 20 minutes from the airport.

Despite Hilton’s latest disappointing devaluation of its most luxurious properties — with many now priced at up to 250,000 points per standard night — the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is showing something unusual: wide-open award space. This property rarely releases consecutive nights on points, let alone broad availability, making this award alert worth noting.

And luckily for you, we found wide-open standard room availability from November 2025 through summer 2026, with award nights bookable almost daily — with the exception of blackout periods over Christmas, New Year’s, and mid-February. That means hard-to-get times like Thanksgiving, spring break, and summer are all in play if you’ve been eyeing this property.

Each night costs 250,000 Hilton Honors points, which is steep even by Hilton’s standards. But seeing this level of availability at one of Hilton’s crown-jewel resorts is rare, particularly since the Pedregal usually doesn’t release multiple consecutive nights on points.

Hot Tip:

This is a prime opportunity to redeem free night certificates earned from the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card and Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card, letting you unlock outsized value at a property where cash rates easily exceed $1,000 per night. Pairing a certificate with buying Hilton points during a promo is a savvy way to save some serious cash.

How To Book

As mentioned earlier, award nights are broadly available from November through the end of summer 2026, with just a few blackout dates over the holidays. To easily track availability, we recommend award alert tools like MaxMyPoint or Rooms.aero, which allow you to scan large portions of the calendar for standard room space.

Cash rates at this property often exceed $1,000 per night and can climb as high as $2,500, which gives the 250,000-point redemption a value between 0.5 and 1 cent per point. That range is right in line with our 0.5-cent Hilton Honors valuation, meaning redemptions here can represent solid to excellent value, depending on the dates.

Final Thoughts

Even with Hilton’s latest devaluation pushing rates sky-high, we’ve never seen this much award availability at the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal. Consecutive nights and peak periods are wide open, which is extremely rare for this property.

If you have Hilton free night certificates from the Hilton co-branded cards, now is the perfect time to use them. Redeeming points and free nights here can save serious cash and unlock huge value at one of Hilton’s most luxurious properties.
