Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

If you’re a member of Marriott Bonvoy and have never created an Uber account, you now have an incentive to do so.

Marriott Bonvoy has launched a limited-time offer to earn up to 2,500 bonus points if you join the 2 accounts by April 15, 2024.

Let’s take a look at the offer in more detail.

First things first, the offer is available to U.S. Marriott Bonvoy members who have never downloaded the Uber app (iOS, Android) or Uber Eats (iOS, Android) app.

You must link your Marriott Bonvoy account to your Uber or Uber Eats app for the first time within 30 days of downloading either app. To link accounts, head into your Uber app settings and look for the Marriott Bonvoy option. Hit that, then you’ll see an option to link accounts.

You’ll then sign in to your Marriott Bonvoy account with your email address or membership number. Once you’ve done that, Marriott will send a confirmation email to let you know your accounts have been linked and receive 500 bonus points.

You can earn an additional 1,000 points when you complete an Uber ride, and an additional 1,000 points on top of that if you place an Uber Eats order.

Benefits of Linking Accounts

Granted, a total bonus of 2,500 Marriott Bonvoy points isn’t a huge amount. However, if you plan to become a frequent Uber rider or are partial to Uber Eats delivery, then you will be rewarded with lots of bonus Marriott Bonvoy points:

  • Earn 6 points per dollar spent on Uber Eats orders that are delivered to a Marriott hotel you’re staying at
  • Earn 3 points per dollar spent on Uber journeys with Uber XL, Uber Black, Uber SUV, and Uber Comfort
  • Earn 2 points per dollar spent on all other Uber Eats orders

Even if you’re not a frequent Uber Eats orderer or Uber rider, getting up to 2,500 free points are still worth the time it will take to link your accounts after a few clicks.

Hot Tip: Learn about the best ways to earn lots of Marriott Bonvoy points and even up to 100,000 points in 90 days!

Final Thoughts

Linking your Marriott Bonvoy and Uber accounts is the definition of a win-win situation.

Double up by using a credit card that rewards food delivery services or rideshares, and earn even more bonus points once you link your accounts.
