Over the past decade, I’ve flown business class on many of the world’s leading airlines, including Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Etihad, Japan Airlines, All Nippon Airways (ANA), Turkish Airlines, Cathay Pacific, and Qatar Airways.

While each carrier offers a strong premium product, one consistently stands above the rest: Qatar Airways Qsuites. Since its debut in 2017, Qsuites has been widely regarded as the best business class product in the world.

I’ve flown Qsuites 3 times, and with an upcoming trip to the Middle East later this year, it felt like the perfect opportunity to book it again — this time using points. Here’s a closer look at what makes Qsuites so special, along with a step-by-step walkthrough of how to book it with points and miles.

What Makes Qatar Airways Qsuites So Special

Qatar Airways is consistently ranked among the world’s best airlines, thanks to its global route network and exceptional premium cabin experience. Qsuites redefined business class when it launched, and many airlines have since followed its lead.

Here’s what sets it apart.

Fully Enclosed Suites With Direct Aisle Access

Qsuites are arranged in a staggered 1-2-1 configuration, with the total number of suites varying by aircraft. This configuration ensures that all business class passengers have direct aisle access.

Because of the staggered layout:

  • Window seats alternate between being closer to the aisle and closer to the window
  • Center seats alternate between being closer together (the “honeymoon” seats) and farther apart
  • Certain center sections can be combined into a 4-person “quad” setup

Of course, each Qsuites business class seat fully reclines into a bed, measuring roughly 78 inches long. Center honeymoon seats in the middle section can also be combined into double beds.

Not every Qatar wide-body aircraft features Qsuites, so aircraft type matters when booking.

Fantastic Privacy

Each Qsuites pod features a sliding door that extends to shoulder height, creating a truly personal and private space.

The high suite walls and staggered layout prevent direct sightlines into neighboring sets. Even with the door open, the cabin feels intimate and secluded.

Center seats can remain fully private for solo travelers or be transformed into shared space by lowering the divider.

Dine-on-Demand Service

Qatar Airways also offers remarkable onboard dining, particularly in its premium cabins. It offers a dine-on-demand experience rather than traditional fixed meal times. Qatar consistently ranks alongside ANA, Singapore Airlines, and Emirates for in-flight dining quality.

Passengers can order from a multi-course menu whenever they prefer. Meals are plated individually, served on fine china, with proper glassware, and presented more like restaurant dining than typical airline catering.

Consistently Excellent Service

Cabin crew service is another highlight of Qsuites. Across my flights, crews have been proactive, attentive, and highly professional.

The service style feels polished without being overly formal — an important distinction on long-haul flights. Crews truly go out of their way to ensure passengers have the most complete experience.

How I’m Booking Qatar Qsuites With Points

Because Qatar Airways’ Qsuites are among the most sought-after business class products in the world, award availability can be competitive. Booking these seats requires flexibility and the right strategy.

Here’s exactly how to do it.

Step 1: Choose the Right Loyalty Program

The first decision is which miles to use, which depends on the airline miles you already have, the flexible points and miles you can access, and what gives you the best value.

Of course, you can use Qatar Airways’ own loyalty program: Qatar Airways Privilege Club. This is how I tend to book Qatar Qsuites for myself, friends, and family. Since Qatar Airways is a member of the Oneworld alliance, you can also book through:

Qatar Airways also has non-alliance partnerships with several airlines, including JetBlue, meaning you can also redeem JetBlue TrueBlue points to book these flights.

Step 2: Search for Qsuites Award Availability

Award search tools have made this process dramatically easier in 2026.

One of the most effective tools is Seats.aero Pro, which offers a dedicated Qatar Qsuites Finder tool. You can filter by departure airport and dates to quickly identify available award seats.

From there, you can click directly through to the loyalty program’s booking page to verify pricing and complete the reservation. Keep in mind, flexibility with dates and departure airports significantly improves your odds.

Step 3: Confirm the Aircraft Has Qsuites

Not every Qatar Airways aircraft features Qsuites, so this is a critical step.

I start by reviewing aircraft types and registrations to confirm whether they’re equipped with Qsuites, then double-check using seat maps that show the 1-2-1 Qsuites layout with sliding doors.

Seat maps are important in confirming that the aircraft has the exact product you are looking to book. Image Credit: Aerolopa

Tools like Aerolopa provide detailed seat maps that help confirm the exact cabin product. Skipping this step could result in booking an older Qatar business class configuration instead of Qsuites.

Step 4: Transfer Flexible Points

Once I confirm availability — not just on Seats.Aero, but the program I’ll be booking with — I then transfer my flexible rewards currencies to an airline loyalty program, avoiding the nightmare of having miles stuck in the wrong program.

Qatar Airways Privilege Club is a transfer partner of:

Most programs transfer at a 1:1 ratio. Marriott Bonvoy transfers at 3:1, but each 60,000-point transfer includes a 5,000-mile bonus.

This is where transferable points and miles credit cards become so valuable. Cards that earn Capital One miles, such as the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card and the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card, allow you to transfer those miles over to Avios.

Capital One Miles

Right now, the Capital One Venture card has an elevated welcome offer:

  • Enjoy $250 to use on Capital One Travel in your first year, plus earn 75,000 bonus miles once you spend $4,000 within the first 3 months from account opening - that’s equal to $1,000 in travel.

That’s more than enough miles for a one-way Qsuites redemption from North America to Doha. Having access to transferable currencies like Capital One miles makes booking Qsuites far more achievable than relying on a single airline’s co-branded card.

Hot Tip:

You can transfer Qatar Airways Privilege Club Avios between other programs that use the Avios currency at a 1:1 rate, including British Airways ClubClub Iberia PlusAer Lingus AerClub, and Finnair Plus.

Step 5: Complete the Booking

Once the Avios are in your account, booking is pretty straightforward through the airline’s website.

For example, Qsuites between Toronto (YYZ) and Doha (DOH) can price at 70,000 Avios plus taxes and fees.

Taxes and fees for Qatar Airways Qsuites are usually reasonable compared to many other international premium redemptions. After confirming pricing and passenger details, complete the booking online.

Final Thoughts

Qatar Airways Qsuites remain among the most impressive business class products in the world.

With fully enclosed suites, ample privacy, and stellar service, it delivers a premium experience that rivals many first-class products. Award space can be competitive, but with flexibility, the right search tools, and a thoughtful transfer strategy, booking Qsuites with points and miles is entirely possible.

When it all comes together, the payoff is huge: one of the most luxurious business class experiences in commercial aviation, booked entirely with points and miles.
